Brawling the Night Away [OPEN]

Shadow would admit it - he wasn't a very social person. If he did anything, it was probably because someone dragged him into it or he had something to prove, but for the most part, he tend to shy away from hanging around others. What he wouldn't admit, though, was that he was starting to enjoy some of the company around.

For now, though, he'd find a bit of solace in some training. He didn't have the colorful collection of threats that this Sonic knew, so he preferred to use threats he knew from his world - namely the machines the peace-keeping organization G.U.N. had sent him. And with the sensoriums being the best place to find them (since they could be easily created), Shadow didn't waste any time in starting up a training program.

Flanked from all sides were hovering Beetle-type machines, some of them armed with cannons, and bipedal Hunter series, all armed with cannons and some with shields to boot.

Shadow briefly nodded before the machines kicked alive, firing away and attempting to encircle and trap Shadow. The hedgehog wouldn't let them do so, spinning through them with ease. As some fell, others took their place.

He had to be on his guard, though - not only could they get him good at any time, he was afraid someone was walk in and get caught in the crossfire. He just hope that, if someone did, Stacy would stop the simulation.

And Alessa was such a person to walk into such a thing, but she didn't see how these things, whatever world they were from, would bother her. They advanced at Shadow, but Alessa gave a look, and a moment later the ground dried up, as if the ground was sucked of everything. And now these beetle machines would break in pieces by unknown forces, falling to pieces. Alessa said nothing, but the machines fell more to pieces until Shadow now was back to back with her.

"This is how you train?" Alessa asked nonchalantly. "It's quite intense."

"They wouldn't." Alessa sad it simply, her eyes watching as the robots came to pieces. "They are automatons, easily dispatched. Flesh and bone I am more accustomed to. Nothings."

She walked toward him casually, looking intrigued. "What are these to you, I wonder? I'm curious.:

But not about him. She would not admit that.

"So they were deceptive, as humans are prone. Willing to kill everything sacred to stop something greater, and then failed to be redeemable. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary where I am from. This Maria meant something, and in their desperation, they killed her."

Alessa sighed.

"I am not known for understanding huamn interpretation as 'peace.'"

Alessa chuckled. "I mean exactly what I say, Shadow the Hedgehog. Huamns err far more frequently than any in the world, and I am sent forth to crush those that would err against the worse of them."

She smiled. "Are you interested?"

"Something like that, but the way you describe it makes it sound like I have a choice. I don't. It is in my nature to create things that are unpleasant, to make the parts of a daydream of foolish people come undone. I am not ashamed by what I do, but I also do not get to say that I will and will not do one or the other. With something like me, its really only a matter of time."

Alessa shrugged. "I mean what I say. I am simply giving you the option of telling me to leave. There aren't too many people who like the idea of one like me being around them. It is a scary thing to most. Why aren't you bothered?"

"Happy." Well, that was probably not something Shadow would like to see. The last time she could remember being happy was when she was dancing under people bleeding everywhere. She was quite certain that Shadow would not like to see something like that. Then again, she was sure most of the crew would not want to see something of that nature.

Not that she really needed to see something like that right now anyway. She wasn't in that mode right now. Why would she need to be, after all? She was more or less satisfied with things at the moment. What was more, Shadow was someone interesting to talk to.

"This Maria...what was she to you?"

[identity profile] demon-alessa.livejournal.com 2009-12-17 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
"So you were created for her then?" Alessa asked, looking interested. "Did she need your protection then? Why else would you be created for the purpose of her? Though you say she is your best friend, so I may be wrong. I wonder."

She paused. "How DID it go?"

"A disease." What a life, to be handled with a thing like that. So in a sense, he was create to ease that pain. Well. Humans were certainly capable of acts of pure goodness, what else would have brought Rose to Silent Hill for Sharon, after all? Even that police officer that had been burned alive for simply allowing Rose to find out the truth...

And her head clicked, and now she could experience all of the pain Alessa had seen. After all, there was still a part of her distinctly Alessa, one that had been scared and felt fear until they burned her, and then the fear was gone, the little girl was gone and in her place was a practically burned corpse child, writhing in anger, wanting her revenge on those that wronged her. She that embodied Alessa was without emotion, but she was not incapable of knowing the anguish of her host, of seeing what was taken from her.

"They killed her," Alessa said duly. "Just as they tried to do with Alessa."

"Your Maria was a remarkable one then," Alessa replied. "I worked through the host of a girl named Alessa. She was a quiet, scared little girl who had no father, and for that reason she was seen as a product of sin. She was molested, ostracized, feared and finally burned in an attempt to 'purify' her. It was only through their own folly and cruelty that she did not die, that dark forces worked in her favor and I went to her to exact revenge. Those that would call me cruel need only see the state that Alessa was after all of the things they did: she was barely recognizable, and overcome with hate. That is what they did to her."

She gestured to herself. "What you see is a distorted version of that girl, but one that chose to serve her purpose and create a truth in that world, and that truth became Silent Hill."

"It's the way of many bull headed humans," Alessa replied. "A policewoman with good intentions also had to lose her life to protect the last innocent part of Alessa, and then those fools stabbed the woman who tried to speak sense to them. But they were unaware in doing that, their hate would release me into their sanctum. That was the end of their running from me: they paid dearly and forever that day."

Alessa smiled. "I am not sure what I will do on this craft yet. My future is uncertain, only that I know I am drawn to recreating Silent Hill again. It is the only home that I feel comfortable now."

[identity profile] demon-alessa.livejournal.com 2009-12-18 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
"A wise judgement," Alessa said. "I'm doing just that: sitting and waiting. I don't know what I'll find in this place."

Alessa gave him a raised eyebrow, with just the hint of a smile. "I don't necessarily equate a lot of speaking with having something to say. I happen to be perfectly fine with your company. I prefer it."

[identity profile] demon-alessa.livejournal.com 2009-12-18 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
"I do," Alessa said. "You must have assumed by the first time we met that I was looking through the ship, watching people. It is my nature. Coming to you again was my indulgence, something I decided to do because I chose it."

And she knew that was all that needed to be said. She and he were of few words.

"You might regret that," Alessa warned. "Though if you haven't run screaming from me now, I'd say yo have a fair chance."
