Unleash the Podlings!
||Pod Release Protocols Initiating,|| Stacy announced to the denizens of the upper levels. Down the the Pod Caverns, familiar sounds made themselves known:
Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.
Mist sprayed from the cracks in the pods before the new crew members were summarily ejected from warm, comfortable stasis to their new chilly, damp reality. They'd either meet each other in the Caverns or in the upper levels, where the previously popped crew would also be waiting for them, if Stacy had anything to say about it.
This time, there were two pods spitting mechanical beings out of a more oily mixture, and one podling who was significantly smaller than most of the others.

:3 Re-written because I thought it needed it!
Swallowing nervously and drawing ever so slightly closer, abject fear teasing her mind, Eve blinked in confusion at what she saw. Was this woman like Aya? Was she dangerous? Was that what normal people looked like without clothes? Did she come from another part of Neo Ark as well? Was she like her? With her mouth partially open with unstated questions, the small “human” tilted her head, making her own semi-logical assumptions, behind latent awareness.
Then as her eyebrows knitted in suspicion, the younger Eve suddenly locked eyes with her older namesake. She wasn't sure where the line between hope and dangerous delusion was, but her mitochondria had a feeling that they might be getting dangerously close to crossing it. The situation, though seemingly benevolent, required caution.
no problem! <3~
She took a sideways glance at the pods in the room, pursing her lips together. "...You're so young to be alone," She finally mused, her attention returning to the youth. "Did you come from one of those...hm...pods, I think the voice called them, too?" The inquiry was made oh-so-sweetly.
Perhaps this was some sort of unconscious gathering place for mitochondrial creatures? Or a prison...a lab? ...Information classified...hmm.
Eve concealed her deep contemplation with another oh-so-sweet, friendly smile...waiting for a response from the girl.
Re: no problem! <3~
“Yes…” she at last replied meekly, after circling the woman in a wary manner, taking each step with cautious precision.
As she came full circle, she stopped, ignoring the unusual feeling of ozze coating her feet. The skeptical look remained, but it was tainted with a sudden tiredness. She had been asleep too long, hurting for too long to be expected to trust anyone yet but there was something familiar about Aya and this woman, something that told her she could have been in safe company – hopefully.

"Perhaps we should stick together, then...I have not seen anyone else, yet," She mused, in a soft, contemplative voice.
A pause came and went, before she tagged on:
"You may call me Eve. What shall I refer to you as?" She even leaned forward a bit at the end of the question, dipping her chin towards the girl curiously.

Stick together? Eve? Was this another test? Did she come from Neo Ark?
Stealing a nervous glance over her shoulder, the girl found the pools of yellow light near where she had entered the room even dimmer than he remembered. Scanning the nearly fleshy pathways for movement, she still felt the icy wind brushing against her legs like waves. She rubbed her hands nervously along the sides of her leafy green attire and gulped.
Looking back to the older woman, she pursed her lips sadly, as blue eyes tried to hide the confusion behind disbelief. “W…What happened to Neo Ark?"

Finally stopping in front of the little Eve, she slumped forward just so, a slick palm raised to settle against her cheek in an almost motherly fashion. Nevermind that it was still somewhat slick from the pod fluids.
"Yes. I think we should stick together. There is no telling what might happen, as to where this place is or why we are here is a mystery...." She paused, smiling whilst craning her head to the side.
"...Neo Ark...?" She echoed the foreign name, arching a brow.

Was this Eve like the people from Dryfeild? Maybe she, like the others who had been taken in and given the opportunity to ‘evolve’ only had a very fundamental understanding.
With a tenderly hopeful look in her eyes she raised her own palm to rest on the woman’s hand, clasping her own small fingers around hers apprehensively.
“Eve..?” Her younger name sake asked apprehensively. “Why do we have the same name?”

As quick as it started though, it was gone.
She cocked her head to one side, withdrawing her hand from the girl's cheek, to twine her fingers together with the little Eve's own...clicking her tongue softly.
"Perhaps it is because we are both very special, hmm?"

Behind the appearance of a confused little girl, Eve’s eyes lit up. She was still sensitive about the events that led up to her current predicament, but there was something slowly sinking in, something that made her smile. And with that thin but appreciative smile the girl used her free hand to best draw the woman’s arm into a warm heartfelt embrace.

"Yes," The word was spoken for no particular reason -- likely just reinforcing the dynamic that was going on between them at a cellular level.
She smiled down at little Eve and cooed.
"...Perhaps..." She began quietly, taking a slow glance around them -- at the various pods still occupied, the fleshy ground and hall that was presumably the cavern's exit.
"We should explore a bit. I still have no idea what is going on, and...knowledge is power, isn't it darling?"

Tightening the grasp of the older Eve’s hand the girl tucked a lock of blonde hair behind her ear, holding the other hand out, palm up, to examine the oily substance now coating her fingers, her palm and due to her hug, the length of her arm. It wasn’t unpleasant, but it reminded her of something, of her self not so long ago.
Suddenly pointing resolvedly toward where the hallway from which she had ventured, the youth spoke up, a hint of hesitancy detectable in her first few words. “That way is the clothes room.”
And on that note, she swiveled 45 degrees to the left, arm and index finger still stretched out resolutely.
“And that way is to…” She paused furrowing her brow. “That’s ‘The crew’”

"It might be best to go find the crew, then. Perhaps we can get better answers from them than the voice,..." Obviously she was referring to Stacy, but was refusing to use the name. She was still perturbed at the flood of human emotions the utterance had caused.
Squeezing her hand once more, she teetered off towards the hallway that supposedly lead to 'the crew'. Gait unsteady yet confident. She might've not been used to such a humanoid form...but she still had poise.

“But what if…”
Now that she had the floor, the words tried to choke her. The burden of wanting to please and stay out of danger conflicting already convoluted emotions. She felt the knot of tension form instinctively in her stomach, as she tried to broach the topic logically, or at least through her own logic.
“What if they’re dangerous?”

Leaning downwards, she raised her hand and cusped little Eve's chin affectionately.
"If they are dangerous, I will take care of them. Don't you worry your lovely little head over it," She murmured with a smile, touching her cheek gently before rustling her hair. The thrum of power that surrounded her underscored the fact that she probably could handle whatever dangers might lurk down the hall.

A thin smile once again eased onto girls face as she took the woman’s comment to heart. Nodding her head genially in the affirmative the younger Eve took a singular step towards the area, awaiting the older woman to lead.
