Sonic got off light. Where he could have probably joined in on Allenby's romp into the brig, he was instead told to scrub the Quarter. Now, that wouldn't be a problem in and off itself - super speed has its perks, after all. But, being a four-foot hedgehog trying to scrub the deck of a space-worthy aircraft carrier? A little harder that it looks.

"Eeeaugh...! Sheesh, I don't mind the work, but couldn't of they gotten a small ship?" Sonic griped. Then again, glancing at the equally long Serpentera nearby, he got off light. Imaging scrubbing THAT thing. Letting out a sigh, he continued his work, trying to think of ways that would get the job done faster.

"Man, what I wouldn't give for those shoe brushes like in cartoons!" he uttered.

 Karis honestly hadn't had much to do and after her whole time lapse thing, she'd spent a lot of time lurking around the ship and avoiding people. That really hadn't helped her much, though. She needed to keep busy. She needed something to do. So, she'd gotten in touch with Ter and the two of them had scraped together what parts they could and then gone down to the hangar deck, where they'd carefully cannibalized a few craft that nobody had touch or used and were really just gather dust - and started working.

For now, she'd cleared a section of the hangar near the X-Wings (which she hadn't touched, mainly because she didn't want to get yelled at) and she was carefully assembling a rather rickety and ramshackle looking gyrocopter. With jet engines strapped to it.She was elbow deep in the engine, spattered in grease, oil and other mechanical fluids. She wiped her hands on a rag and then plucked a wrench from her small supply of tools and leaned in, going back to work 

Keep the hands busy. keep the mind busy. She'd been doing that for the past decade. Maybe she could keep it up a while longer.

At some time during the night, while some were still sleeping, and some were awake and wandering around the hotel common rooms--a massive explosion rocked the hotel the group was staying in.

Simultaneously, perhaps by lucky chance, or perhaps on purpose, a number of the group was mysteriously teleported away. Specifically, the ones missing were: Fate, Jr., Kang, Superboy, Zouichi, Howard, The Doctor, Lash, Nightwing, Zetta, Dr. Henderson, Rory, Ruffnut, and Sakura.

The problem was that the group likely wouldn't be able to tell from the vaporized common rooms and bedrooms that those particular individuals hadn't been in them when the explosion hit.
