After everything that happened, especially the events that had just transpired in the med bay, Tim had been doing some investigative work. Because while perhaps the danger was over, there were certainly still some underlying issues-- what had happened to the power, for example, as well as investigating the delay for backup power (something that needed to certainly be righted for the future). Tim certainly didn't trust the timing of an inexplicable power failure. It turned out he had been right to. He wasn't happy with what he had found. He almost didn't want to tell Conner about it, but he deserved to know, at least. Tim would find a way to address the issue himself, without causing more problems. For now, though, he had to talk to his friend. ((ooc: Bendy timed to a little while after this thread.))

With her son back to being self-sufficient (and being able to remind her of such), Eva's suddenly found herself with a windfall of downtime. Doing what any sensible lady would do with such a situation, she raided the hall closet for board games.
She sits outside the house with a little plastic table an lawn chairs set up, as well as a battered old chessboard of Cassie's. A few of the white pawns and the black rook were missing, so she replaced them with bottlecaps and a salt shaker.
A cardboard sign in impeccable handwriting reads: FREE CHESS GAMES, YOUR LOSS. She drums her fingers as she waits for company.

It had been a few hours since he had almost cautiously entered the room the young comatose woman had been in to find a quietly wiggling baby, tangled in medical cords that had formally been keeping her alive. She hadn't been crying, tiny hands waving quietly in front of her face, each gesture making her pause in confusion, as though her fingers were an alien thing not connected to her body.
He hadn't been sure if he should sigh in relief or feel more worried. She was moving under her own power, for the first time she was alive and not just existing. She was a baby, it had worked. But she wasn't crying. Which could mean any number of things, most of them not good and only a few of them tolerable. It could never be simple, could it?
She had been small in his arms when he picked her up, smaller than Conner had been a few hours ago, lighter than she should have been, he'd known that much.
It had taken hours to check for and repair any damage done to her. Tirelessly matching Mei-Xing's scans with the scans of the child until everything was as it should be. His head was throbbing; a low, constant ache that made him want to sleep for the next three days.
But she was cooing, soft and quiet in his arms, latching on hungrily to a bottle when it was offered and she seemed to have no problems eating. Everything matched. Just a normal, non-human baby. A beautiful baby girl. "Shhh...."
It had worked. Somehow, despite everything, it had worked.

As soon as the clock had been destroyed, Chris whose actions have left him downright suspicious of everyone on Stacy had felt uneasiness and struggling memories coming to the surface in his own mind. This event made his resolve more intense, Chris had seen events as a way of his own personal failings and this didn't feel him with any confidance at all. So, he arrived unannounced at one of the Sensoriums, to do some heavy training. He wasn't expecting anyone to bother him really. In the grand scheme of things aboard Stacy, he was sure he wouldn't be a very big threat with the Ohm. Sure, he helped in Security but the fact was that Leon didn't really trusted the young marine. Mainly because of his age, Chris guessed but he wasn't 100% sure. He stared at the rooftop display with monkeylike creatures that looked like this. He was ready.
