No rest for the weary [Closed]

Ever since the whole Yeerk mess had been taken care of, Leon had been a busy man. There were a number of loose ends that needed to be wrapped up, he was starting to help with the groundwork for the next mission, and he had some rather important personal business that needed his attention. Needless to say, he hadn't been getting much in the way of rest, but he wasn't about to slow down.

He wished he could take a week off, though.

But rather than complain about the time he didn't have, he decided to maximize the time he did have. That meant doing a bit of multitasking, so he could cross a couple of items off his list at once.

He had told Katara that he would help her locate her friend, Aang, which is why he was currently in the statuary right now. It was here that Aang had somehow made contact with her. He figured he'd check the place out to see if there was something to go on, though he planned on having someone else handle the follow up.

But while he was doing that, there were also a few people he needed to have a few words with, so he got on the omnicomms and called them down.

Reflection [Open]

Ryuunosuke shivered as the water beat down on him.  He'd configured the sensorium to arrange a waterfall for him to sit under, in a meditative stance. This whole place was ridiculous. No sentai to protect it? No Lord and comrade? No Gedoushuu? (No, that's just crazy talk. Evil is everywhere. It must just be hiding.) He felt unhinged.

He wasn't a leader by any stretch of the imagination. He could take charge when Takeru was missing, but that was a matter of duty. Totally cut off like this, he was completely disoriented.

And there was that horrid crow. Talking like that in front of an innocent child.

He sighed and looked up, then started sputtering and fell over as water poured down his throat.

It had happened again.

Luke sat in the observation deck, hands folded and chin resting on them as he thought.  It was an off hour, or perhaps people were just elsewhere; either way, there weren't many people about.  For once, Luke was glad of the solitude, of the lack of distractions.  He had spent far too much time here, or in the Sensorium program of the Jedi Temple, especially of late and especially since...

The Jedi closed his eyes.  A moment of weakness, and now it was only going to get more awkward.  He had seen Mara shining out at him from the fog of the Force, her green eyes brilliant in the dim light, and he had been torn between shrinking away because if he touched her she would know he'd kissed Arha--but at the same time rejoicing, reaching out to her, because she was his beloved and always would be.  And yet, try as he might, he couldn't get Arha's taste out of his mind, or the way her fingertips had so gently caressed his hair and face, not demanding or asking any more than he would give.

And he would never forget the expression on her face when he pushed her away.

Running fingers through his hair, Luke sighed.  The questioned he had asked himself in the Sensorium, while the fireflies swirled above their heads, still chased themselves through his brain, and he was no closer to answers on any of them.

Luke carefully locked down on his emotions.  While he could be mindful of them, it wouldn't do to broadcast to the rest of the Jedi that he was disturbed.

Forest at Night isn't Scary for Everyone [Open]

Shadow Link had heard about the sensorium. To say the least, it sounded interesting. An illusion that became a reality? He knew there were things that could appear an illusion that hurt, but in the end, the thing was truly 'real.' And illusions could be used to hurt and mess with people. But having a physical presence? That was knew.

So he had decided to try it out. Of course, the setting wouldn't be bright. Actually, since he was in control, he had for something that might be nice. Namely, a forest at night. Even as a shadow, he did still feel a bit of joy in nature. Not so much he wouldn't have willingly destroyed it before for his goals, but...

Well, he was still questioning what his goals were, so why not embrace that joy a bit more? And it certainly felt like a real night sky, with a light breeze and everything. He looked around and sighed.

He walked further into the sensorium, quickly climbing up a tree and resting on a branch and for the first time since he actually arrived on the ship, he relaxed. What harm could letting his guard down for a little while in his own illusion could do him anyway?

Well that whole thing was a big mess. The trial worked but the problem was lack of precedent. Or structure. There was common law, but nothing definite. Should be some basic rules to keep order, or situations like what happened in the city were going to keep happening. Security and the Precinct help, but they need something more to back them. As it was, Nathan was currently holed up in the Media Library of late, poring over various law books of different worlds and cultures. Trying to get some ideas to present to the rest of the Command Staff. And part of it was to make sure there was representation and laws to protect those with and without abilities.
