Ghani struggled to make herself continue to stand where she was. Everyone had failed Alia in her time, allowed her down the path that would surely lead to her destruction. Could she allow such a thing to happen again as it so obviously was?
Abomination. Ghani swallowed, her heart feeling as though it were being squeezed harshly as she watched Alia bat at the empty space behind her. She wanted to reach out, offer support, but she knew that Alia had always been proud and would more than likely brush any attempts of help to the side.

She lifted her chin a little. "You may share the place I have been using in the City. Many have quarters within this... ship, but I could not bear to sleep in such a place."
She studied Alia, hoping that her aunt would be able to silence the voices which were slowly going to drive her mad. And she hoped she would not come to regret her offer.
