The Lost Archaeologist [Open]
...cake? Where was that cake? Wait... that wasn't right. There was no cake. It was a dream. Yeah, a dream. That works. Indiana slipped out of his sleeping pod; he noted that the rest of these were strangely empty. How long was he asleep? He got the feeling that he'd missed something big.
However, Indy didn't care too much about the matters of the ship. He shrugged off any odd suspicions and headed to his might-as-well-be-home on the ship, the media library. He settled in with a datapad containing some ancient textsgood thing he practiced his Latin subjunctives

"....What does all of that mean?"

Yes, he did just rattle that off. Don't look now, Indy, but your academic is showing.

"I don't know what any of that stuff meant except for 'epic poem,' 'long journey,' and maybe the political thing. Sorry." He shrugged and scratched at his head.
"I don't quite understand how your writing works there. It seems like a lot of the characters repeat themselves..."

Fortunately, the media library was always a good place for that, and it'd give her the opportunity to attempt to do some research on the little project she'd been helping Luis with.
The information on the viruses they were working with wasn't exactly copious, but she pulled up everything Stacy had in her database on the Umbrella Corporation's research, and moved distractedly to find somewhere to settle while she started tapping her fingers over the data pad. Unfortunately reading and walking is not always something a person should do, and not a talent Scarlet had mastered, which explained why when she passed by Indiana she accidentally bumped into his seat.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going."

"Not a problem, miss," Charming.

"I'm sorry again but, is what you're reading in Latin?" She was aware of the ship's translator engines, but she doubted that this guy was from Ancient Greece. He didn't have the look of what she'd imagine from the time period. Which either meant someone who was a history geek or just a very overzealous scholar. And since she didn't see any rudimentary formulas or medical terms (which would've immediately jumped out at her) she doubted he was a physician brushing up on the terminology.

But Jones just shrugged, "I found it and decided to read it."

She glanced up seeing the man enter the room and her eyebrows furrowed. He looked so familiar but she had no idea why. Never one to leave anything unanswered, she pushed her chair back and moved over to where the man was.
"I think I recognize you," she said, eyeing him a little. "Who are you?" No, Temperance is anything but subtle.

Sometimes he can't keep track, he's a popular man..."Indiana Jones," straightforward answer for a straightforward question.

Her eyebrows perk up in interest. "Really? I'm a forensic anthropologist." She holds her hand out to him, "Doctor Temperance Brennan." Incase he didn't realize it, she's very proud of her title.
"Where do you teach? Perhaps I've attended one of your lectures, and that's where I recognize you from."

He eventually gives up on this and simply leans over Indiana's shoulder. The archaeologist may notice a looming shadow, not dark enough to block his view of the text, but very noticeable.

He continues to scan the text lazily, not really inclined to go anywhere.
