Building a family [hella open]
Slobo had been puttering around the ship for an hour, thinking and looking. He quickly found that if you looked hard enough, between W&P and the City itself, you could find anything. In the end, he was standing outside a Courtyard by Marriott hotel about a click outside of "Escherville" with spraypaint and a very large block of stone. At first he had thought about the Vatican, but it was too wrecked from the zombie fight. Plus, this place had an indoor pool. He spraypainted a large message on the wall next to the door, red with black outline.
"OUTSIDERS
COMMUNITY SERVICE
FIELD TRAINING
COMMUNITY SERVICE
FIELD TRAINING
PEER COUNSELING"
On the sandwich board tucked near the door, he wrote "12-21? Info and Tryouts inside" and left it out in front. Now, he took his large rock into the lobby and began carving. And waited.

So the mage found herself flying through Stacy's corridors and the city, just trying to clear her mind and clear her thoughts about the people that weren't there with her... as far as she knew. Nanoha wouldn't have noticed Slobo's sign if she hadn't been looking directly at the hotel by a matter of chance, but it caught her eye.
She flew downward, touching to the ground, and the magenta wings on her heels vanished. Her gaze went to the sign, then to the open doors of the lobby... then back to the sign and once more back to the lobby. The services rendered seemed fairly par for the course, but it was the name that struck her more than anything.
So, she cautiously peeked inside to see a boy that looked unfamiliar working on a large block of stone. "Ah... hello? Are you the one who wrote the sign here?"

"How can i help ya?"

She was a bit curious as to what he was working on, but she didn't ask.

"Yanno, crap like that..."

She stepped into the lobby, looking around. "It can't hurt to have a look, I suppose."

"Slobo! Your turn to try and fix the damn thing!" Static coughed as he emerged from the miniature dust storm, waving some of it away with his hand. "How hard could it be, I said. I'm the one repairing all of Stacy sensors, this should be cakewalk, I said. Well, I give up. You try and fix the damn printer."
He walked over slowly, dusting off his clothes, then smiled. "Hi, I'm Static. Here to join?"

"Fraggin' WORK, ya frellin' piece of slag!" Followed by a loud THUD and the sounds of printing. Slobo walked back out and to his statue.
"Fixed."
Re: 2/2
"Alright, well, right now we arn't that big of a group; you've already met Slobo and I, then there's also Katara and Mai, Who you may have met elsewhere. I dunno. Katara's powers are manipulating water , and Mai's incredibly good with her throwing knives. I have no idea what your abilities are, so I'd love it if you could show me some moves or something, but I'm not pushing for it. If you want to just hang around, feel free. You can even take a tour around the place if you want; right now it's mostly empty rooms and eels, but we should have it in ship-shape soon."
Re: 2/2
But, he asked about what she could do, and that was certainly a question she could answer. "I'm an instructor of aerial and magical combat of the Midchildan style. My personal specialty is mid-to-long range destructive magic, though I'm qualified in close-range combat if necessary."
"Did that answer your question? It may have just sounded like gibberish if you aren't familiar with the terms, which ... you probably aren't."
Re: 2/2
He grinned, dropping the disk and hopping on.

With a thought, a pair of transparent, pale pink wings shimmered to life by her feet, lifting her body a few inches off the ground. Nanoha returned his grin.

He didn't go too fast, but kept a good clip. He had no idea what she could do, after all.

It felt nice to fly.

In the next instant, she fell out of the sky, turning in mid-air so that she was facing toward the ground as she plummeted earthward, faster than if she'd just let gravity take her. Nanoha pulled out of the dive in time to avoid face-planting on the pavement, using her momentum to head toward the larger buildings of the city.

Still, Nanoha was determined to try to keep up with him as best as she could.

He dropped straight down about half a mile, then hit the full reverse, heading back towards what Slobo had already dubbed 'Outsiders Palace'.
"Your speed's pretty good, I gotta admit. Now, let's see your reflexes." He didn't slow down at all, but began to fire off small bursts of electricity. There was plenty of time between bolts, and they were a small enough charge that they would barely even stun her, but it would smart for a bit if she did get hit.

In order to save energy to keep her pursuit up, she moved the barest minimum necessary to dodge his zaps - some of them came close, but none of them connected thus far.
