What dreams may come [Open, bendytimed to before GTFO plot]

In her sealed, silent, sensory-deprived meditation room, Roxie is sleeping. It's a special sleep: for all dreams are connected, she knows, and by spinning her mind out along the web of thought, she might step into others...

[Roxie is dream-hopping, getting a look at the subconsciousnesses of the other people on the ship. So, how it works - if you're interested, go ahead and post with a dream your character is having, and Roxie will slip into it, subtle at first but more obvious as she tries to satisfy her curiosity. Just her being around will make the dreamer more lucid and more likely to remember the whole thing when they wake up.

Also, feel free to ask any OOC questions in a thread here, or poke me on AIM at 'anagramarye'.]

Zelda watches closely, storing away the information in her head. "And it is for bright lighting?" she asks softly, still gazing at the electricity between Roxie's fingers.

It's almost enough to make everything around it look dark - oh, wait, it is, a night's sky spread above them, gently twinkling stars overhead. The constellations there would be unlike any Roxie has seen before.

The moon, although only a slim crescent, is many times larger than the one Roxie is used to. The stars are in new configurations, although, here and there and with a decent-enough telescope, distant galaxies and clusters and even nebulae can be recognised. A bright arc of stars stretches overhead.

Zelda is silent, musing about the lamps Roxie described. Sheik watches them both.

"Your world must be very bright," he says softly, breaking the silence.

((OOC: Purely headcanon - I'm sticking the planet Hyrule is on in another part of the Milky Way, so the constellations are completely different, but larger structures like galaxies and star clusters (and, closer to home, nebulae) are recognisable if Roxie knows anything about astronomy.))

They are both silent, for now, watching the world in Roxie's hand. A world where night is day...

"The light - that is where the people are?" Zelda asks, peering at the globe in fascination.

Seven billion... she can't even imagine it. Hyrule has the most insignificant fraction of that, by comparison.

"Where are you from?" she asks softly.

((OOC: Won't be around much today, big assignment due tomorrow. Sorry!))

She nods, examining it closely. "Hyrule must seem miniscule to you," she muses.

Sheik looks wary, but Zelda's eyes light up. "I would."

When they land, Zelda - just Zelda, although a faint red gleam behind her eyes shows that Sheik is still around in some form - straightens up, brushing invisible dust off her skirts. Her eyes are wide, gazing around at the bustling city around them - the noise, the smell in the air, even the lack of stars are bewilderingly unfamiliar.

"This is your land?"

Zelda blinks down at herself, but she supposes that in a land filled with people dressed like Roxie and with (presumably) Gerudo-style ears, her usual gown and Hylian ears would stand out.

"Alright," she smiles, smoothing down the skirt (it feels far too short for her, but then, she doesn't expect that's anything unusual in this place) and wondering idly if Sheik would be dressed in the same way - that'd be a giggle she's stifling. "Well, then. Shall we set off?"

"Whatever you wish to show me," Zelda says with a slight grin. After all, it's not like she could name landmarks.
redeyes_andblue: (Z - pleasure: that's nice)

The parts of it that she's actually allowed to see without fear of being attacked, really. But she can't well say that.

"Lake Hylia is nice," she ventures - at least, it was when she was a child, and it is again now. In between... not so much.

It's certainly nothing like Lake Hylia, but the river is fascinating all on its own. The sky seems smaller, squished into a little box above their heads instead of the wide expanse of the Lake, but it makes it almost comfortable, cozy.

Moving to the edge, she peers into the water then glances back at Roxie. "This is lovely."
