Newbie Meet N' Greet

Meet n' Greet, smell my feet, gimme something good to eat! Unfortunately, the newbie meet and greet takes place the same time the command staff is congregating, so they might be a little late to the party.

But the crew is there to welcome the newcomers and explain their situation. At the end of the milling and spilling about, the command staff is going to start a general meeting to apprise everyone of their situation and discuss their next course of action:

Getting off the damn ship.

Slobo walked into the room after he gathered his belongings. This ship seemed to know him, having his favorite boots (complete with kneepads) and gloves stored. Also, the three and a half foot long chain was a nice addition to his outfit. Now, he entered a room where people were milling about, not sure if he recognized any of them.

He wondered for a moment if any of them heard the stream of cussing that had erupted from his "clothing".

He sat and waited to see if the people he thought were around would show up.

She slunk into the obs desk not really expecting much. After the first one, she didn't much care. It wasn't like she'd get who she wanted after all. So when she spotted the black haired teen sitting in her view, her heart stopped.

"Slobo?"

He looked over, smiling radiantly for a moment, then suppressing his glee into a "cool" smirk.

"Bowgirl! I thought I smelled ya. I haven't seen ya since before I got blasted by Darkseid." He sighed, as if remembering a FOND memory. "Since yer here, WHERE THE FRAGGIN HELL AM I?! If it ain't too much trouble to ask."

Bart zoomed into the room. The plant suit had a sort of mask for him, so he figured it would be enough for Max for the whole secret ID thing. And he had his Flash ring! He grinned and raced into the room.

First person he noticed was Lobo. And Cissie was there too! He grinned and raced over. "Hi guys! Cool suits, huh?"

The giggle that bubbled up into her throat she'd later deny, but right now, hearing him scream at her. She didn't have another reaction. She felt the urge to hug him, but doubted he'd let her.

"This is Stacy, and you've been brought her to help us do whatever. I don't even know what we're suppose to do. I've been trying to figure that out, but I've been trying to get my head around things." She shook her head and frowned. "Good news is, Superboy, Wondergirl, and Robin are here too. So we're almost whole again."

Cissie stopped breathing the moment he appeared. She blinked her eyes a few times, fighting the tears...

"Bart?"

Slobo listened, and was about to reply when Bart appeared. He remained silent for a moment.

"Heh. The gang's all here." He noticed the tears in her eyes. "You alright, Bowgirl?"

Cissie looked sad. That wasn't good. "You okay? What happened? Where are Robin and Superboy and Wonder Girl? Are you crying? I'm sorry!" he waved a hand about frantically and tried to think of something that might have made Cissie cry recently. "Areyoustillmadaboutthebaseballgame?"

Cissie closed her eyes quickly before shaking her head and launching herself at Bart, hugging him tightly.

"Oh my god Bart! It really is you!" She squealed and squeezed him a bit harder. "I was never truly made about the game.. and oh my god it's so good to see you!"

Slobo looked from one to the other, knowing when to leave well enough alone.

"Uh... I gotta use the head..." He said as he slipped away. Not that he knew where the head was, but he suddenly felt very intrusive.

Bart hugged back just as eagerly. He wasn't sure why Cissie was waaaay more excited to see him than usual, but hugs were nice, and it had been almost a week since he'd last seen Cissie. "Yeah! It's totally really me!" he said, grinning back. "And it's really you too! We're here! And, uh, it's cool? Where's Lobo going?"

"Slobo..." She pulled back and frowned. "Where are you going? You don't know where to go around here, you just well woke up." She looked to both of them and then bounced a bit to try to see if she could spot Tim, Kon, or Cassie.

"Plus you gotta wait here. The others will be around in a minute, and they are going to be so happy to see you too!"

But Slobo was gone with speeds that could almost make Bart jealous. Almost. Bart looked at him, then back at Cissie. "Maybe it was the hugging. He's not a big hugger, right?"

Cissie shook her head and turned back to Bart.

"No, I suppose he's not. But god... You..." She ran a hand through her hair and pulled Bart back in for another hug. "I've missed you so much. It's really not the same without you in my life."

"Hi there!" Dani greeted Slobo cheerfully, zooming up to him and stopping in the air in front of him. "new to the ship."

"Hi!" Bart answered, not realizing she was speaking to someone else. "Yeah, I just appeared naked and covered in goo. Then tentacles attacked!"

Dani looked over at Bart when he responded. "Yeah, that happens to everyone," Dani said. Of course, it could be noted that SHE didn't have creepy plant suit. "I'm Dani."

"I'm Impulse." Bart grinned at her. "I'm reeeeally fast! Fastest kid alive, actually! Just that awesome."

"Hi Impulse. Nice to meet you. I'm half ghost. Though Danny, with an ny instead of an i like me, is better," Dani said, smiling widely.

Bart made a face at her. "How are you half-ghost? Did you like, half die? Does it depend who's looking at you like that cat?"

"I don't know anything about a cat, but I know it's scientifically possible, but I can only explain it the scientific way and it's a bunch of biology and ectology," Dani said.

"What's ectowhatsit?" Bart squinted at her. "Like, what's half ghost mean, though? How's it different from a normal ghost?"

"Oh, this," Dani said and the white rings appeared around her body and ran over it, turning her back into a human as she dropped down the few inches to the ground.

She had the creepy plantsuit again. "I have a ghost form and a human form. A real human form, not a mimickery that other ghosts can make. Makes me more resistant to stuff ghosts are weak to and more prone to what does affect them and not humans."

Bart adjusted his goggles a little. "I still can change into my costume faster. But I don't have it. Just this kinda almost costume. You a superhero?"

"I'm changing my molecules at the atomic level. I think as fast as it goes is pretty unreal," Dani said with a shrug, changing back. She didn't like the creepy plantsuit. "And yep, I am! Dani Phantom. Or D Phantom is Danny's in the same area and you need to get only one's attention quick.

"I can do that!" Bart vibrated his hand and passed it through his head to demonstrate. "Wait, that's not changing 'em, it's just moving 'em at a different vibrational frequency than other matter. Cool, huh? I haven't met Danny yet."
