Newbie Meet N' Greet

Meet n' Greet, smell my feet, gimme something good to eat! Unfortunately, the newbie meet and greet takes place the same time the command staff is congregating, so they might be a little late to the party.

But the crew is there to welcome the newcomers and explain their situation. At the end of the milling and spilling about, the command staff is going to start a general meeting to apprise everyone of their situation and discuss their next course of action:

Bart zoomed into the room. The plant suit had a sort of mask for him, so he figured it would be enough for Max for the whole secret ID thing. And he had his Flash ring! He grinned and raced into the room.

First person he noticed was Lobo. And Cissie was there too! He grinned and raced over. "Hi guys! Cool suits, huh?"

The giggle that bubbled up into her throat she'd later deny, but right now, hearing him scream at her. She didn't have another reaction. She felt the urge to hug him, but doubted he'd let her.

"This is Stacy, and you've been brought her to help us do whatever. I don't even know what we're suppose to do. I've been trying to figure that out, but I've been trying to get my head around things." She shook her head and frowned. "Good news is, Superboy, Wondergirl, and Robin are here too. So we're almost whole again."

Cissie stopped breathing the moment he appeared. She blinked her eyes a few times, fighting the tears...

"Bart?"

Slobo listened, and was about to reply when Bart appeared. He remained silent for a moment.

"Heh. The gang's all here." He noticed the tears in her eyes. "You alright, Bowgirl?"

Cissie looked sad. That wasn't good. "You okay? What happened? Where are Robin and Superboy and Wonder Girl? Are you crying? I'm sorry!" he waved a hand about frantically and tried to think of something that might have made Cissie cry recently. "Areyoustillmadaboutthebaseballgame?"

Cissie closed her eyes quickly before shaking her head and launching herself at Bart, hugging him tightly.

"Oh my god Bart! It really is you!" She squealed and squeezed him a bit harder. "I was never truly made about the game.. and oh my god it's so good to see you!"

Slobo looked from one to the other, knowing when to leave well enough alone.

"Uh... I gotta use the head..." He said as he slipped away. Not that he knew where the head was, but he suddenly felt very intrusive.

Bart hugged back just as eagerly. He wasn't sure why Cissie was waaaay more excited to see him than usual, but hugs were nice, and it had been almost a week since he'd last seen Cissie. "Yeah! It's totally really me!" he said, grinning back. "And it's really you too! We're here! And, uh, it's cool? Where's Lobo going?"

"Slobo..." She pulled back and frowned. "Where are you going? You don't know where to go around here, you just well woke up." She looked to both of them and then bounced a bit to try to see if she could spot Tim, Kon, or Cassie.

"Plus you gotta wait here. The others will be around in a minute, and they are going to be so happy to see you too!"

But Slobo was gone with speeds that could almost make Bart jealous. Almost. Bart looked at him, then back at Cissie. "Maybe it was the hugging. He's not a big hugger, right?"

Cissie shook her head and turned back to Bart.

"No, I suppose he's not. But god... You..." She ran a hand through her hair and pulled Bart back in for another hug. "I've missed you so much. It's really not the same without you in my life."

"Aww, Cissie." Bart grinned and hugged her back. "Wait, why am I not in your life? I mean, I know you left the team and all, but you still hang out with us all the time, right?"

"It's.. just life you know. You're so busy with the hero stuff. We just don't see each other anymore." She wasn't going to even try to explain the time differences, or that she had just went to his funeral not long ago. Instead she'd lie and lie until Tim or Cassie, or heck even Conner ratted out the truth. "But you know, that doesn't matter. We can make up for lost time."

It didn't entirely make sense, but Bart just shrugged and grinned back. "Sure thing, Cissie! I've got time to spare. Since for me, a minute takes forever. Though I guess I should try and be slow so you can make up the time too, huh?"

She laughed softly and smiled. "That would mean a lot to me Bart." She places a kiss to his cheek and looks around. "Well I know Tim's not going to be here, but I figured the others would be around by now."

Bart rapidly flipped through all the people he knew named Tim and couldn't think of any that Cissie knew. She's met a bunch of his classmates, and maybe Tim was one of them but she was talking like it was someone he was supposed to know. He nodded at the rest. "I think I saw SB distracted by some girl like always. Uh, who's Tim again?"

Cissie's eyes widened and she quickly covered her mouth. "Oh my god... you.." She shook her head and frowned. "I didn't think you were... oh my god Bart..." She didn't want to say any more but knew someone had to tell him. "Tim's.. Robin. It's his real name."

Bart stared at her shocked for an entire five seconds. "Really?" he said, all but whispering. "How'd you find out? Is Batman gonna get mad we know?"

She shakes her head and smiles gently. "I don't think so. Tim told us all because Greta kinda went nuts. She got better though."

"So everyone's okay?" Bart grinned. "And we know Rob-- Tim's name! That's so cool!" He laughed and bounced up and down on his feet. "Where is R-- Tim anyway?"

Cissie wanted to laugh, but really she could just smile. "He's actually.. um... well in jail. It's a bit of a complicated thing and it deals with this alien thing that hurt someone. So people wanted it killed, and others just wanted it out of the way. And somewhere along the lines Robin got himself involved and.. I kinda lost it at that point." She shook her head and frowned.

Bart nodded. "So we'll spring him, right? Figure between me and Kon we can deal with any jail."

"Why don't we hold off on any jailbreaks. Wouldn't want to get you into serious trouble with the head of security. I've heard he's already not to keen on teen heroes. I'd hate to see what he thinks to a few of us busting into the jail." She smiles a bit. Reminded of when Greta and Slobo went to break her dad out of jail. Hadn't everyone said no then? Oh well. Bart was just being Bart. Wanting to help his friend. It was cute, and man did Cissie miss this.

"But he's been framed, right?" Bart looked up at her and frowned. "Or something? He's Robin. He yells at me and Superboy for screwing up. He's not a bad guy. Why's he in jail?"
