Rest and Relaxation.... and a whole lot of aggrivation [Closed]
Leon's day had been long, though ultimately productive. He managed to scratch a number of things off his list, and only two items of consequence remained. Those being Sherry's surgery, and spelunking through W&P, trying to relocate the Main Armory.
He also needed to take a break.
But when he got back to the Precinct, he didn't head straight to his room and crash, which is probably what he should've done. Instead he went to Claire's room and knocked on her door. He needed to talk to her, and he figured he could hide out with her for a little while. He knew she'd run interference for him if he asked her to... plus about two-thirds of the ship thought they screwing each other anywaydear god did he wish, so if they were locked in a room together, odds are people would be reluctant to bother them.
"Hey, Claire, open up. It's me."

"Hey, Claire, open up. It's me."

"But I've still been running myself ragged trying to help deal with all of this. I feel like I could sleep for a week. I might even be able to despite this damn suit."
no subject
"You definitely look like you need it. I haven't seen you look this ragged for a while." She reached up and playfully flicked that bit of hair that was always hanging in front of his eyes. "You're working way too hard. Even if there's impending doom."
no subject
"Yeah, I know. Luckily it finally dawned on me that I have underlings and my own ninja assassin now, and I should probably put them to work." It was times like this that he really missed Hunnigan. She always handled personnel and resource management, plus logistics. That usually freed him up to do what he did best.
no subject
"When did you get a ninja assassin?"
no subject
"She's not really a ninja assassin, by the way." He gave her a look as if to say 'you should know me better than that'. "I just like to call her that."
no subject
"So what is she?"
no subject
"...good question." He looked back at Claire, his brows furrowed in a bit of thought. "I'm not sure yet. I'm still feeling out the situation."
no subject
"Should I be concerned?" She didn't know what she had to be concerned about exactly, but using ninja assassin to describe someone even in a silly manner conjured up images to her that put her a little on edge.
no subject
Or was it that the ninja assassin happened to be a 'she'?"I am," he admitted. "She made it clear that she specifically wanted to work for me. Not for Picard, not for the crew, but for me.
"And I have no idea why." And he couldn't see too many reasons either.
"She says she doesn't want anything from me, but that seems unlikely. Don't know what she could be after, though.
"I figured it would be better to keep an eye on her, try to figure out what her game is, and put her skills to good use in the meantime."
no subject
"She's not Asian, is she?" Claire pretty much avoided bringing up Ada as much as possible, because she hadn't really known the woman on top of it being an always sore subject. This, however, was fishy to her.
no subject
"She is... why?"
no subject
After arching her eyebrows at him for a second she pushed herself away, shaking his arm off and standing up so she could walk away and lean on the wall by the window. She'd been very comfortable, but now not so much.
no subject
He had a feeling this was about to turn into one of those conversations with Claire.
"Yeah, I remember Ada. That was the first thought that crossed my mind, and I haven't been able to shake it since. But she's not Ada." Unless Ada became a cyborg since the last time he saw her.
no subject
"Still sounds like a snake in the grass. And you've never been good with snakes." As competent as Leon was, and as much as she trusted him, she wasn't sure how having someone who wanted to work specifically and only for him was a good thing.
no subject
"Be that as it may, I'm not in a position we I can afford to reject a whole lot of help. It's a risk, but if she can be useful, and it gets us one step closer to getting back home, I'll chance it."
no subject
"If you get shot again, you can't say I didn't try to tell you this was a dumb idea."
no subject
"I know. But if I was able to survive Ada, I can survive this."
He decided to make himself more comfortable again, and simply laid down this time. He helped himself to Claire's pillow, and couldn't help but notice the faint scent of her hair on it.
"I appreciate it, though."
no subject
"Hey!" She finally dropped her arms and walked back over to him, stopping when she got to the side of the couch and resting a hand on her hip.
"Who said you could sleep on my bed?"
no subject
"I figured I'd make myself comfortable."
no subject
"You could've moved to the other couch."
no subject
"I know. But I like this one."
He loosely to threw around around her waist, and started pulling her towards him.
no subject
"What, you think we can share?"
no subject
"We were a few minutes ago," he reminded her. And he had liked having her so close to him like that.
no subject
"Move over."
no subject
"C'mere."
