Cruel and Unusual Punishment

Daimon Hellstrom, the Son of Satan, was not present during the orchestrated attempt to take the captive Yeerk's life. That did not stop him from going to the precinct, to the prisoners, and delivering a sermon that was a great deal more fire and brimstone than most sermons, if not all.

The topic, if you could distinguish a coherent basis for Daimon's mad words, was centered around the ever popular Good Samaritan story. Daimon told the prisoners of the background of the Good Samaritan, how Samaritans were viewed as the enemy back then, and how the Samaritan had helped a man despite the hatred both peoples bore for the other.

But it was hard to focus on that given how loud he was. That and how his hair was periodically engulfed by flame.

Daimon's expression remained the same. He never played this game as a child.

Roxie's expression starts subtly shifting, just a little. It's rather close to the sort of look she'd have at trying to suppress a more blatant smirk at the thought of someone or something creeping up directly behind Daimon.

Not that there is anything, but she's good at the fake-outs.

Daimon struggled to keep his darksoul at bay. Murdering someone, especially here and now, was not acceptable.

And even with the odd look on Roxie's face, he did not want to turn his back to her. He would have to rely on his psychosensitivity to warn him of any impending dangers. Never mind that the psychic vibrations coming off of this ship was overwhelming. The constant barrage made it nearly impossible to tell if there was imminent danger.

Roxie starts very slowly, subtly edging backwards.
