He's in the Jailhouse Now [Open]
Where's some Folsom Prison Blues by the man in black when you need it? No access to the media library so just have to improvise. Xander had been stuck in the precinct lockup for several hours now, and he was really bored. And trying to talk to Sam would be so beyond awkward on a million levels that he wasn't even about to try. No way. Better to have some music to take his mind off of things.
A very exaggerated bass voice then started to sing, "Nobody knows... the trouble I've seen. Nobody knows my sorrow. Nobody knows the trouble I've seen..."

Katara smiled. "But stop singing. You're not good at it."

Xander slumped against the wall.
"Seen plenty of trouble though, and hey, we were still in the right. The slug shouldn't still be sliming around. Never had a court for the threats back home. The law was too busy pretending they were gangs on PCP to do anything."

Katara couldn't help but giggle. Xander was always funny, even when he didn't mean to be.
"No one is righteous in this. No one. People get hurt, just like this, and we have to remenber that. We are flawed like everyone else, not right. That's the difference we have. I'll never say we were the ones that got it correct."

Xander sighed, thinking about it. It wasn't like Buff wanting to take them all in the plantation to take down Caleb. "People didn't have to get hurt. We could have been faster, and then done."
He sighed again, "If we had more people, and a real plan."

Katara shrugged. "In this case, it was pretty much a lost cause anyway. There was more of a security team, and more people who were thinking we were nothing but cold blooded murderers."
Katara looked at Xander. "Do you think that's really what we are, Xander?"
no subject
Xander then shook his head, "No, no way. It's no different from staking a vampire. That's not murder. That's stopping a threat for good."
no subject
Katara looked a little bothered though. "A threat. Yeah. That's what it was."
no subject
Xander then firmly said, "It's not murder when it's something evil you have to stop before more people get killed. We're no more killers than Buff, the other Slayers, or any of us back home would be."
Ok... well, except for Will. That one time, even if Warren deserved something for killing Tara, and nearly killing Buffy. But that was different, and she's ok now.

But a part of her was starting to notice how strange she was feeling, how the feeling she was having was a quiet panic. Why was she suddenly feeling very sick?

Katara had to close her eyes.
"It's nothing. I was just...thinking too hard."

"I'm a killer, aren't I?"

Katara sighed. "What's your history Xander?"
no subject
"Ok, I didn't like having to throw some of the rocks around. Used to dealing with demons, vampires, and monsters. Not people I know. That's what the Yeerk had me doing."
no subject
"I know what you mean. There were a few people there I really care about fighting for the Yeerk. I hope something like this never happens again."

Spaurh has come down to see the prisoners and maybe mock them. Or just watch them rot for a bit to entertain herself. Or maybe she genuinely sympathizes with them. Who knows?

which may or may not have reminded him of a certain colonel with black, spikey hair."Keep your singing to yourself," He says with a grunt. Being taken prisoner is never fun, but Ronon should be well used to it by now.

... and if Xander didn't get the message he still had some more pieces to throw.

He hasn't been locked up that much. Well, usually only when he was possessed.
