Desperado [Closed to Conspirators/Team "Kill It"]
Down in the room that the conspirators had chosen to hide Sam after busting him out of detention, the group had gathered for one last time. On a table lay John Winchester's journal, which--with the help of the conspirators--now had a map of the area surrounding the precinct and all the possible routes to the hub, which then led to the rest of the ship. There weren't many of them. And most of those that were there were normal humans. The other side--the side that had chosen to protect the Yeerk--had them both out-numbered and out-gunned. That meant that the plan had to adjust for that.
Hitting them in transit, while they were transporting the Yeerk back to the medbay, had been decided was the best option. It meant they wouldn't be taking on the entire security team but, instead, a much smaller detail. People would be positioned in various locations, meaning the detail would have to face a fight on several flanks if it came down to force. And, finally, while waiting for the security detail to arrive at a narrow street or a bottle-neck was the most effective battle strategy, it was likely the most deadly. Therefore, they'd opted for a wide-open area for two reasons.
First, because of the huge spectacle that had been made with the trial, there was bound to be a crowd. Since crowds can more easily form in wide-open areas with lots of space, that meant most of the security personnel would be tied down trying to keep them under control. Which meant less chance of reinforcements. And having a large crowd nearby had one other benefit: it would put a damper on the super-powered ones, they were less likely to use their full powers with a bunch of innocent bystanders around that might possibly get hurt because of it. Not after the battle with the cockroaches.
Second, it gave more room for bystanders to flee once--and if--the fighting started. People would be less likely to get trampled trying to run to safety if there was room for everyone to run.
The plan was set and agreed upon. And there was even a surprise or two in store for the security detail escorting Schmuz to safety.
"Ok," Sam said, looking up from the map to the group around him. "So, we're all 'go' with this, right? If anyone wants to back out, now's the time to do it. All I ask is that you let the rest of us do what needs to be done and wait here until we're gone."

He sat back admiring his knife for a minute before looking up at Sam. Jason hadn't spoken to him before this, but he seemed like a semi okay guy. At least he was on the right side.

Really, he's just doing what he's been programmed to. He might hate it, but there's nothing he can do about it, not with the slave circuit still in the back of his head and no way to get it out.

He then looked at Leela. "And as much as I'd love to shield the crowd, unless someone here can create force fields out of thin air and we just don't know about it then there's not much we can do aside from just not aiming at them. Everything else I think we need to leave up to security. Having something to keep them from reinforcing the escort detail is one of the few things we have going for us right now.
"Just keep in mind, the sooner Schmuz is dead the sooner this ends. So if you get a shot, take it."

"I can't guarantee anyone's safety on my part. But I guarantee I'll do everything in my power to kill this.. whatever the fuck it is."

"I may be able to get that information, but I can't guarantee it."

She ticks off her fingers.
"Ronon and Marcus." Their names are said separately, because, well, it's a given they're on security--they're their inside men. "Leon, no powers, far as I can tell. Some army guy--Ronon, he's from your world, right? Mitchell. No powers. Nightwing. No powers. Jo Lupo. No powers, near as I can tell. Samus, who as far as I can tell, can't use her suit on the ship. Robert Donovan, no powers as far as we can tell. Problem is, all of them know their shit. They're all cops, they're all in the army, they're all cops and army people that've fought zombies and shit. We got Nightwing, who's used to tangling daily with psychotics and superhumans. They're pros at this."
She goes on, "And then that's not even getting into the metahumans and non-humans. Ms. Marvel -- from what I remember from comics, is a classic flying brick: flight, superstrength, invulnerability, plus some energy powers. The Andalites will probably be in it -- shapeshifting there and those damn tails even in their own bodies. Pat and Tox--Toxin's some kinda crazy symbiote-- strength and superhuman agility there. Worf's entire species is pretty goddamn strong, and he's well trained. And those are just the ones we know. We have some unknown variables in there--new folks they've picked up. That snake girl? No idea what the hell she does, if there's anything other than her being a naga. New people they've grabbed. We also don't know if Leon pulled in any of the other metas. Most of the supers are under 18 and we know Leon's dismissed them from Security, but there's a few above-age, and if he reneges on that and pulls in someone like Kara or Kon or Jaime or--shit, any of 'em--we're kinda boned."
She breathes in a deep breath.
"If we have any chance at this, we have to hit hard, and hit fast. Ms Marvel's got flight, so she'll probably be on air support or even carrying the thing, and it's also hard to hurt her--we gotta knock her out of the sky. And then make sure we occupy the metas and aliens with our own metas and aliens. I think a few of us that are damn good shots with at least something should be dedicated to taking out the containment unit, while the rest of us are keeping their heaviest hitters--and their most skilled at taking down heavy hitters, like 'Wing--occupied."

Looking back down at the layout once more, Sam considered what Leela had said. They were gonna have a tough time if the metas got involved. Especially since there were so few on their side.
"Ronon, Marcus, think you guys can take down a few of the metas when you reveal yourselves? Being part of the security detail, you should be able to knock a couple of their heavy hitters out before they realize you're actually with us."
He then turned to the strange man in the cloak. "Think you can handle Ms. Marvel?"

"I'm about to go ahead and sound arrogant as hell at all of you. Leela is not the only precog you've got on this little squad and unlike her - no offense Leels - my abilities work on command if you give me the right stuff." She holstered the raised sword and sat back a little.
"I can't give you a total play by play, and even if I could our actions and reactions will change the outcome, but I can stretch my sight out to five or seven minutes ahead when I'm really cranked. I'll get there on my own usually once a fight breaks out, but if someone can find a way to get me some artificial adrenaline or just simulate the rush enough I'll go IN with that edge and be even better in the thick of it, and don't think I have to explain how much that could help us."

"I have a Gift," she speaks up. "I can touch foes and bring them to the ground. I cannot strike them, but a tap will do."
"Remember. You have a Garou with you. I am very large and very strong. If you need anyone out of your way, I can snarl at them."
Bella likes being big and scary in her warshape, it's useful.

"I might have a last-minute surprise or two. Go, go." He gestures, and moves to step around a corner—
—and as soon as he's out of sight, he's gone.

He slid away from the table, shoved the knife away and ducked out of the room. He had a real plan to think of.

Taking one more look around the room and meeting the gazes of a few people, Ronon nodded and casually left. The Security team didn't have their meeting yet and it was bound to happen sooner than later.
