||Pod Release Protocols Initating,|| Stacy's familiar voice sounded out to all the podmates.
In the Pod Caverns, there were the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.
There was condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slid out onto the floors, covered in slime.

"Think it's some kinda forcefield..."
When he was out near the center, he suddenly lurched.
Then started floating upwards....
"Uh...I'm not actually flying right now, guys..."

Maybe he wouldn't fall, then.

Then he put them all together (http://www.afcsat.com/mid/Dialog.mid) into the Close Encounters theme.
"What?"

They zipped up through a tunnel and into a room that looked like...
A warehouse. Of some kind. With lots and lots of REALLY weird stuff. Swords, strange weapons, orbs, scrolls, backpacks and leather bags. There was such strange sights as a mystical-looking staff placed next to a Hello Kitty lunchbox.
"Bart. Don't touch anything."

His eyes widened as he looked around. "What the heck is all this stuff? Whose is it?"
no subject
"Maybe it's ours? If it is I want one of those." Bart said as he gestured to a large very odd and dangerous looking item on the wall.

This was taking too long. He zipped past them, looking for whatever screamed Robin. Robin belt, batmarangs, rangmabats..

"Haven't seen that jacket in--gimme!" Grabby hands.
It was old stuff, but it was still his stuff, and there was an S! On the back, okay, but still an S.

"Just as well," he told Bart with a grin. "Looked a little silly on you." Kon's stuff really had been way too big on him.

Dammit, he sounded like a mom. He was NOT the mom!
Instead he turned his attention to the jacket, holding it in one hand and touching the S-shield on the back with the other, as if reassuring himself with it. "Man, haven't seen this thing in a while--well, one of these things, anyway. I lost count of how many jackets I went through."
He pulled it on. Thankfully, it'd always been somewhat over-large, because his frame was broader now. Now for the finishing touch--the sunglasses. Yes, he was wearing them inside.
"I feel all retro."
What? He hadn't worn this thing in more than a year. When you were hardly older than five, that was ages and ages.

He gave his friend an appraising look. "Yep. Totally retro." He put the mask on--and he was getting way too much like Batman if he felt more comfortable like this--and glanced back at Bart. "There's got to be something here for you..." He started looking around again, and came up with a gold ring with a Flash symbol set into it. "How about this?" He oculdn't imagine that it would be someone else's...

He beamed proudly as he bared a fist, relaxed, testing the feel of it on his finger. It was definitely his.

Watch out, Stacy, here they come.
