Why would anyone want to leave?

Stuck on a living space ship, entire universes away from home, and living with characters from Star Trek. Yeah, Loren definitely needed some down time. Which was why she was in the Sensoriums playing baseball.

Or rather just hitting a ball over and over. It was just creepy to play baseball with simulated people.

Will spends a lot of time in the Sensoriums, or checking them to see what other people are doing. And baseball looks fun! She walks in to take a closer look.

"Hey -" she waves to Loren, smiling shyly. "Um, are you the one who was talking about starting a baseball team? Hi, I'm Will."

"Hi." Will takes her hand and shakes it. "I don't play a lot of baseball normally, but it'd be great to have something to do . . . other than school, when that starts." She brushes her hair behind her ears, frowning.

"Sure. So . . . how do we start?"

Will smiled eagerly, looking around. She didn't want to imagine up more people either, but two people could at least throw a ball back and forth.

From what seems like a daily practice, Chris entered the sensorium though he was surprised at what the person was doing there.

"Not condemning it but... There are actual people who use this place for recreation and not training? Huh." Chris' voice was barely above a whisper but it got his point across rather quickly.

Chris got a slight chuckle at his own expense. "Well I guess it depends on the person and their background. Military types generally have trouble relaxing. Oh. I'm Chris."

"You too, Loren." He shared a similar smile, but was much smaller. "So... how long have you been on the ship?"

Chris nodded in understanding. "One podpop before you then."

"Yeah. First time in space, so yes." Not he's first time meeting an alien but he bit his tongue from say such a thing again.

Spaurh found herself on a planet when she walks in. It's not exactly her favorite place to be, but she'll be damned if she'll let it show. She settled her hands on her hips and just watched for a moment before speaking up, voice smooth, "What exactly are you doing?"

Spaurh's eyes follow the ball for a moment, before she shifts her glance back to Loren and stifles a yawn, "No. No we don't."

She brushes her bride with one hand, "My people live in space for their entire lives..."

Tobias noticed his mom, checked to make sure he was unseen for the most part, then he morphed human. It was safer to be on the ground if balls were flying through the air. He felt a bit of sadness though that he'd probably stink too badly to be able to play with her, since he was so not used to human eyes as to feel half blind when he morphed.

It made him wonder though how things would have been different if he'd grown up in a normal life.

"Hi" he said to her.

"Hi" he replied. He didn't show it, but he was beginning by now to understand why Ax played with words sometimes. It was wierd after using thought-speech so much. "I came in this way so I wouldn't have a midair collision" he said. "What's going on?"

"I've tried...I don't know how good I'd be at it now though. It's wierd...even though this is the body I was born in, it feels wierd now. I feel like I'm halfway blind when I have human eyes. I could give it a shot, but I might not be able to hit anything." He was trying not to squint, but it was hard, just like it was hard to remember to make facial expressions.

Yeah, I guess...what about?" It was hard not to be a little awkward talking to her. "I do understand trying to find things to do. I'm a little bored too. Plus trying so hard to think of a way to keep us all together after we finally leave here keeps giving me headaches."
