Girls... that's all I really want is..er, wait a second [Open, lang. warning]

Xander was in the Sensoriums. At first he was thinking of the great training room he had in Scotland, only this looked more like the one he had set up in the basement of the Magic Box. The one Giles helped him put together for Buffy. That's ok, sometimes, when not thinking of the demons, and the vampires, and all the threats of big honkin' death, he could almost be nostalgic for the 'Dale?

Almost.

Xander was currently just wearing gym sweats, and shirtless. He went to reach for a towel to dry some of the sweat off when he heard a giggle. A few giggles actually.

"Uh I didn't order an audience... oh hi. Did you guys just wake up?" It was a couple of the Slayers from the Scotland base smiling invitingly at him. Funny how they were dressed in pajamas though as they slowly approached him.

"We missed you, Xander. We've been so lonely." One of them said as she slowly reached for him to run her hands over his chest. Vi was it? No, Vi was on a patrol with Buffy.

"I missed you too, ladies? Uh hang on, we're not alone here. Somebody could walk in."

Only another Slayer walked in, with a smirk as she steadily crossed the practice room to kiss him.

Oh who the hell cares who walks in? Xander dropped the towel, and kissed her back. He thought he felt other hands touching his shoulders and sides. But after a few minutes, that slowly stopped. His one eye had closed, enjoying the feel of pouty lips, and longish tousled hair gently tickling his forehead and cheeks. Funny, he knew the girls were pretty buff and strong, but he didn't remember any of them having broad shoulders like this. And the chest seemed oddly flat. The other person drew even closer to him.

.................Ok, NO Slayer would have THAT down there.

He yelped and hastily backed away from the guy smiling back at him knowingly.

"Uh, Sam? What are you doing? And I thought you were locked up in jail still?"

When there was no immediate response, Xander glanced around, hoping nobody else had walked in as well. That was the last thing he needed. Awfully funny how quiet the other guy seemed right now.

Unreal even.

The dodge was slow, and he stumbled. Katara nodded to herself: she would have to slow down her speed too, so she could match Xander. After all, this training session was more for him. Everybody had to start somewhere, right?

The side punch Katara leaned toward, grabbing the hand and moving him forward. This was actually something she'd seen Aang do, an airbender move definitely worth studying, as Katara had. Her right foot steeped forward in back of him and the left foot kicked him off his feet.

She moved back as he fell, but slowly: she wanted to see how he'd compensate.

Katara smiled, but there was nothing mean tempered in it, quite the contrary. This guy wasn't playing to his strengths,, but he was definitely trying to remember them. Katara knew the difference between someone who was faking and someone just out of practice. In this instance though, a defensive move wasn't the best for Xander. Waterbenders were nowhere near as defensive as the air naomads and even certain earthbenders, but Katara had helped with Aang, who was the ONLY airbender left. She could see through many defensive maneuvers for that reason.

When Xander assumed that position, Katara came upon him, a little quicker. She came at him with a few swift arm jabs and then swept back and came at him with a hard right palm fist.

Katara took the hit. It hurt, but Katara knew that a few heavy hits against someone who was quicker would not end well for a heavy hitter. It was similar to the taking down of the drill in Ba Sing Se: it was a heavy opponent, but to defeat it required a series of hits and then one striking blow.

Which Katara decided to do now. The jabs, after all, were only to get closer to get a harder hit in. A few of the jabs missed their mark but was still achieving the objective: she was getting closer, and he was starting to falter. She could tell he was used to weaponry by the way he fought, and that was OK too: he should probably meet up with Sokka sometime.

The hand work gave way to a sliding foot sweet, and THAT gave way to a shoulder toss to knock Xander to the ground. He may have had the height advantage, but strength wise he wasn't used to being surprised by a quicker, smaller opponent.

Katara gave him a smile. "Thank you! I'm better when I'm doing my bending, but I'm not a stranger to martial arts. It's kind of necessary in my world. If you want though, I'd be happy to help you train too. Your stance could use some help, but the moves are definitely there. You've fought before, haven't you?"

She offered him a hand to get him up.

Vampires. And. Demons.

"Seriously?" Katara said, raising her eyebrows. "In your world, you actually have to fight those things? How are you still living?"

Katara was strong, but she wasn't sure if shew could actually defeat a demon.

Katara looked at the patch and closed her eyes. The devastation she was no stranger to: she'd seen things like this happen in her world too. But to take someone's eye? That was horrible.

"Who did it?" She asked softly. "A demon?"

"First Evil?" What a weird description. Things seemed so strange in some of these other worlds. There were all of these impossible monsters there, all able to inflict pain probably worse than anything the Fore Nation had to offer. Still, the danger was probably the same: end of the world, ensuing chaos.

"Dead. If he was that powerful, that's probably a good thing. Knowing a certain friend of mine, he would have tried to avoid killing him. I can't say I'd be that merciful if he took my eye though."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2009-08-23 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Katara nodded. "With my friend, human or not, it wouldn't have mattered. He was taught by the monks that life is sacred, and to avoid taking it at all costs. With his kind of power, I'm really glad he sticks to that policy."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
"I see. That' a pretty good policy. We don't have demons and vampires in my world, but we have humans that can be just as bad, trust me. My friend, he's the Avatar. Besides being able to bend all four of the elements, he's also able to summon the Avatar state, where he gets immense power from past generations. He's supposed to help keep the world in balance, and considering the last one hundred years, its a good thing he came along."

Katara paused. "But it sounds like your Slayer has it pretty bad too. Killing demons and vampires doesn't sound like the easiest thing in the world."

Katara shuddered, thinking of the encounter in Roxie's world. "But at least she doesn't have to fight cars. Those things are pure evil."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
"Huh...really? Yeah, its something like that actually! If he dies, another one is born to replace that one and keep the world in balance. Yeah! Except he got frozen at one point, and without him a hundred years of war happened. That's why we went traveling with him so he could learn all of the other elements of bending and stop a total takeover of the entire world. To get this good, I had a teacher...and a bunch of crazed firebenders constantly trying to catch us or kill us."

Katara squinted her eyes at him. "If you saw a car for the first time and it ran over a friend you just made, you'd think it was evil too. An evil, mechanical monster."
