It seems like everybody's been feeling a little hollow after recent revelations.
Kazuki is no different.
After all, if his world was gone, then that meant everything he and his friends had sacrificed to save it had been for nothing.
Tears. Blood. Lives. All for nothing.
Of course, in his typical manner, he continues to trudge along, taking solace in the fact that his friends and loved ones were either here, with him, waiting to be released from the pod caverns, or that they could be restored along with his world somehow.
It still was not much comfort, however.
In order to get his mind off of things, he had been helping move supplies back to the living area now that it was safe. While it did help, there was only so much he could do at the moment, so he was now wandering he halls near the new crew quarters, looking for a room to claim for himself.
Entering an unoccupied room, he began to unpack what little belongings he had. Several doses of the Fenrir treatment, a handgun he was holding onto for emergencies, and a single photograph of a number of teenagers, Kazuki included, wearing their Alvis uniforms.
He sits down on one of the beds, staring at the photograph for a long while.
For now, it was all he had left of his home.
