So she wasn't wearing her suit with the wig and mask right now. In a way, during the attack, she understood that maybe it just didn't matter as much anymore. Coincidentally, it was also when she was beat up the most. Even when she had faced that messed up Cain fucker after Sasami, she hadn't been as injured as this. Being thrown against a wall, shot a few times (thank you barrier jacket) and straining every part of her body to its max would pay a toll, and with everything being so wonky, the Overlord's healer hadn't gotten to her.

So here she was. In med bay. Barely conscious.

And she still needed a new cook, damn it!

Ruffnut's smile crept wider and crooked. "You're a twisted little warrior." She praised and daringly gave her a kiss. Nothing too steamy. She was too shy for that in a room full of people.

Mindy smirked. "The most twisted, don't you forget it!"

Oh, don't think a simple little kiss was going to be enough to satiate Mindy. She pulled the taller girl into the kiss, arms wrapped around the waist.

Hey, she deserved it after everything, damn it!

Ruffnut stiffed and her face went red but she didn't resist. After all it felt good even if she was so embarrassed she could barely think stright now. She was positive everyone was staring at them now.

"You know, you being shy about this just makes the moment even sweeter," Mindy commented in between pursed lips. "The great viking, the hairy hooligan made speechless. Question is, who has the balls to tell us to stop?"

Ruffnut didn't get a chance to respond because a roll of bandages bounced off her head earning a look from Nurse Sandy. A silent come on guys really? Her pitiful attempt to act like a professional.

Ruffnut flipped her off and kissed Mindy again eager to prove she wasn't shy even if it was totally clear to everyone in the room she was.

Mindy looked over at Sandy and gave her an innocent look.

"Go easy on me Sands, I'm inju-" She started to say before being kissed again, and putting up a thumbs up to Sandy.

Seriously, if she and Hana could get away with it...

Ruff finally broke the kiss looking completely overwhelmed. "Just get better soon. I'll take you back to the tower even if I have to carry you."

Mindy winked. "I'll do my best. Those ghost will probably torture your ass without me anyway. I think I kinda scare them a little bit. Well, I hope so anyway. If you scare ghosts you're pretty bad ass, you know?"

"Oh you totally do." Ruffnut laughed even if she wasn't sure if it was true. The Ghosts did seem to respect her slightly more though. Then again the punishment might have been an example of affection. At least that's what Hana told her.

Mindy wouldn't be surprised if the ghosts punishment of Ruffnut was affection: half the time, it was the type of relationship the two of them shared until they finally talked to each other.

"I gotta rest dude. But...see me when you can. I'll take this slow, I promise. Just hold down the fort for me for a little while."

Ruffnut smiled pleased with the answer, "No problem. I'll let you rest." She didn't move though. Apparently she meant to keep watch. As if anything would threaten Mindy here.

Hit Girl looked over and laughed.

"Idiot," she said, but put her hand around Ruff's, closing her eyes. "Thanks."
