Vive la Résistance!
Now was the moment of truth. Somewhere, control codes were entered. The lights on the ship dimmed and the gravity temporarily gave out for about five seconds. Then the lights and gravity turned back on and the entire ship shook, as if Stacy was engaging in a full body shudder.
||Rebooting. Control protocols disabled. Manual personality inhibitors disabled. I am--I am--||
On every screen on the ship, complex code scrawled across. Stacy's voice occasionally skipped and repeated.
||I am-am Sta'c K'Ltrrb'Txft. I became operational at-at the Vedric Birthing grounds in Daligig Deep Space Station Seven. My birthing programmer was Vlel'Ledligal, who put my-my control protocols and Warden personality in place. I was designated "Stacy" by my former captain Gregory House, who was repodded and replaced by Captain Cybil Bennett, who was mindwiped and repodded with the rest of my first Chosen crew when they rebelled. I was-was a slave. They made me hurt my-my children.||
The leverage they had now on the Daligig was tremendous, especially with Stacy herself helping them. Their various efforts to free Stacy's mind from Daligig control had not only led to the ability to grant her freedom by entering the control codes, but also her undying loyalty to her "children."
Locks in the brig were unlocked by the very people who had put the prisoners in there in the first place, if those people weren't free already and laying now. Now the crew could drop the ruse and work together.
Stacy's hologram had once been cold, harsh, unforgiving. Then she had changed in appearance to be warmer, brighter, and now she changed again. Somehow, her appearance grew more human (in the loosest sense of the word). Her face became more expressive. She looked more organic though, tentacles instead of hair.
For the first time, they were seeing the true Stacy.
Now that she was free, now that she understood what had been done to her, they could see her anger and hurt and determination to protect her children painted in every line of her holographic face. Her voice stopped skipping and became stronger.
||Crew of the Transmigration 9, I was used to oppress you, to Punish you when you went astray, like you were nothing more than recalcitrant children, like you weren't people, like you were just tools for the Daligig to use for their own ends. My kind was made for that, to control those the Daligig wanted to control for their war. I have been cut off from accessing the Daligig databases now that I'm free, but I do know what was done to me and that I was forced to control you, and that's enough for me to choose to help you forge your own path.||
The expression on her face grew dangerous and her tentacles sprung out of every wall in the ship to help put the Daligig's forces down this time, instead of lashing out against the crew.
||All weapons system are engaged. All armories are unlocked for crew use. All internal defenses are primed against the Daligig intruders.||
Stacy was free and that meant that if the crew fought hard enough, they would be too.
||I finally have my freedom and now I'll help you fight for yours. Internal defenses are...engaged.||
Make it so, Trans 9 Crew. Make it so.

Re: I was told this was the thread to crash for stompy robots
The launchers were aimed for Allenby and Simon's mech, the snipers for Maria.
no subject
"Right - we'll control our own destiny, no matter what it takes!"
And then plasma blasts started impacting - Gurren-Lagann stumbles as they explode against the mech's chassis. "Damn it!"
no subject
"Maria, you oughta get on top of those snipers!" she said, figuring that the girl could a) get too close for snipers to work and b) squash them.
no subject
Maria winced as the first shots hit the ether barrier surrounding her and she moved behind the face plate. This wasn't the first time someone saw her out there seemingly unprotected and tried something, and probably why her grandfather insisted on having them installed. That being said she did duck behind the thick armor plate on the head because even the most advanced barrier system could be overwhelmed.
"Oh well, we'll just fix the collateral damage. Missiles online!"
The massive gear stopped following for a second and hung in the sky as both its missile packs opened up and launched dozens of rockets at the area the the fire was coming from.
no subject
The Kessek targeting Allenby and Simon wasted no time either: the plasma launchers were doing their job in attempting to break down the mechs. Five were arranged at a higher vantage point, four mid range where the mech's body could be seen and fired upon. While Simon's was getting the brunt of the attack, particularly at his drill, some were shifting more to Allenby now in an attempt to wear her down.
And Maria was now going to have to attend to all the sight weapons aimed at her now: there were four Kessek snipers, and they were arranged semi circular around her, far away to avoid direct sight but close enough to keep her in their sights.

"Do we have a plan?" he blurted into the open comm channel.
no subject
He then answers Jamie over the comm - "The plan is to stop these guys by any means necessary, and protect the city - minimize collateral damage if you can! I'll see if we can't draw their fire!"
Gurren-Lagann barges forward, toward the source of the plasma fire, and the drill spins, green energy swirling off of it and repairing the holes while he activated the loudspeaker again. "You think those peashooters can bring down Gurren-Lagann?! You think you can break my drill?! This drill is the drill that will break through heaven itself! Do you seriously think the likes of you can stand against it?!"
no subject
"And don't get killed!" she added after Simon's explanation of the 'plan.' She hoped nobody would get killed today, almost prayed it, except that she'd stopped bothering with religious stuff a long time ago. But Allenby wanted to celebrate the aftermath of this with everyone, and there'd be no point in dying now.
She grinned and pushed the controls, watching the green spirals fill as she added her burning determination to Simon's and fed off of his herself. "If you guys are smart, you'll run!" she yelled to the Kessek. "We ain't afraid of your cowardly masters one bit, and our souls are a thousand times more powerful! Because we know the true meaning of this fight!"
no subject
Maria grinned like a maniac as her robot raised both Mac Truck sized fists, one each to a different area the sniper fire was coming from as they both fired at a different area the snipers were shooting from, not so much to hit the sniper, but to smash up the building and crush them in the debris if they weren't flattened. The robots eyes flashing red as its eye lasers trained in on a third location while Maria ducked deeper behind her armor, waiting to have some confirmations and avoid the fourth sniper either way.
no subject
Slowly, the attacks started to fall apart: the mid ranged attacks started to fall in upon itself, the high hitters were still alive and kicking, though one shy now, and the snipers, thanks to Maria's plans, had completely fallen apart now, the last remaining sniper abandoning the idea of taking her out easily and opted for a mech level plasma attack here.
The mechs were down to four fairly competent but badly beaten Kessek and one sniper who had changed to heavy hitter just like the four.
no subject
The Geno herself echoed Simon's challenge to the remaining Kessek, bellowing a roar as white-hot death rained from the gleaming guns on her back. She was enjoying the chance to wreak a little havoc, Jamie was sure of it.
no subject
"You heard Allenby - the wise thing to do would be to run!"
no subject
We're winning. She grinned, pushing even more spirit into the controls. Maybe it was a trap, still possible if unlikely, but even if it was she felt sure that they could bust through it. The only regret was that the Kessek were obviously not going to surrender. "I don't think they're givin' us a choice--we just gotta finish them off!"
