"Does anyone else find it odd that so many things are measured in human terms?" N'tho mused, giving the information a stoic onceover. He wasn't concerned at all. "Superhuman" endurance was an amusing idea for him because that was sangheili normal.

Kang rolled his eyes, reading over the mission information, and shrugged his wings, "Unfortunately, these can't support me in actual flight. I'm not surprised by everything being measured by human standards anymore, though I still find it very annoying."

"If it were in pony standards, you'd all probably complain you had no idea what they were," Rainbow said. She waved a hoof at the display. "So besides it telling us what we're supposed to do, and all the atmospheric stuff, is there anything on here we really need to care about?"

"Kill anyone that opposes us, of course," Crematia says. She's in her dragon form despite the lack of space because . . . well, just because. Everyone else is small enough to accommodate anyway, so it is no real issue. "It does say that the native wildlife is antagonistic, after all."

She raises her head arrogantly, thinking. The artificial light makes her visible teeth glisten. "In fact, it might be better if I go alone. Volcanic fire, ash, or gas cannot hurt me, as it is part of my nature."

"Be that as it may? I would not miss this," N'tho replies with an odd, somewhat threatening twist of his mandibles. It's a sangheili grin.

"Ha. It will be just like going home. What was Hellfire Peninsula on Draenor sounds much like this," the shaman said, waving a hand.

"Besides, sometimes the hen eggs need cracking, yes?"

Rescue crew is to be advised that the inhabitable areas of the planet are affected by dual magic and technology dampeners. Magical abilities will not function on the planet, and communication between crew and ship will be impossible, as will be the use of communication devices between rescue crew. A backup crew will be sent after seventy-two hours of non-contact in case the rescue is unsuccessful.

Goliath frowns at the new information. No wonder, then that they're sending the nonhumans, even at the expense of sending humans with magic or technology that would make them even more suitable to the landscape and the rescue.

"I have never relied on magic or technology to accomplish the tasks set before me. If we are in agreement, I say we are equal to this task."

Kang was going to have to keep an eye on Crematia. She was too unpredictable to trust, and he knew how reds operated. "Well, that makes things far more interesting than I'd like. Might as well get it over with."

"Oh no, I can't use magic or technology." Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes dramatically, waving a hoof at the screen. "Pff. Wake me when we get to something I'll CARE about."

"Is it possible to destroy the dampeners?" Her voice is rough and surly, a rare draconic version of a pout. The idea of being separated from her magic is an unpleasant one.

It is possible, but first the dampeners would have to be located. Their nature as technology dampeners conceals them from ship radar.
