Moby Dick will drive anyone to murder [Open]
[[OOC: Kerrigan is in the brig for around three weeks ICly. Characters can come up to her at any point in those three weeks here.]]
Kerrigan was used to cells. At least this time there wasn’t a mass of purple flesh on the floor, pulsing as it spread closer to her. That had been a different place- in another life and yet the memory remained. The fear remained.
She was defenseless. No, that was not true. Even without weapons Kerrigan was far from defenseless. The power dampeners may have taken away what was left of her psychic powers but she could still defend herself if needed, as unlikely as it was. Several weeks in the brig for stabbing someone a dozen times even after she’d told them exactly who they had in custody. It was laughable. It wasn’t what she deserved.
Maybe that was why they’d given her Moby Dick to read. Kerrigan only had her omnicomm for a few hours of the day and there was nothing else to do in here so she was allowed to read selections from the Media Library. She told them she didn’t care and to pick something randomly. They had to have given her this book on purpose. Not only was it torturous but the message was fitting- a man obsessed with revenge. The story had potential if only reading it didn’t leave her wanting to claw her eyes out (if only she still had claws). She would read and toss it aside. Then after hours and hours of nothing but silence and thinking and remembering she would start reading again. Anything to get away from the memories.

"Alright, alright. I get the jist of it... You know, if ya want me ta go Sarah, all ya gotta do is ask."
no subject
To think, she had thought it was hard to interact with people when she could read their minds. Now Splicer felt like a cardboard cut out to her.
She took several moments to clear her head. This had to be done.
"There is something else I need to ask you."
no subject
He raised a brow and looked over at her.
"Yeah? Sure, what'cha need Sarah?"
no subject
"If I try to kill someone again, unprovoked and with no reason, I need you to kill me."

"You are worse than the fools they have in charge of Security." She snapped. "You know what I'm capable of. You know that I can't be allowed to turn into that- thing again."
no subject
"These fuckers are the ones pushing you, if there's anyone to blame it's them and not yourself! They already KNOW that circumstances and they already KNOW the consequences! Are you simply going to give up on your goals? The Queen of Blades wouldn't simply give up, and more than anyone? Sarah Kerrigan wouldn't give up. She never did, even with everything..." He narrowed his eyes in determined anger.
no subject
"I am not giving up and I am not the Queen of Blades. She murdered billions of people. Should I finish what she started, beginning with you?" She hissed.
no subject
He paused, grasping his chest for a moment before frowning, "I... I can feel it... You're still someone I looked up to and you're still my queen... And just like you I didn't choose this path, but I accept it. Billions of people? One person? It doesn't matter. You still took a life and you have to live with that. I've had my fair share of destruction, I won't deny that. Hundreds of thousands have died at the hands of me and my crew and who knows how many more due to the backlash... I know it ain't easy sugar but I ain't about to give up now."

Something caused the shield between the bars to flash. The power dampener was still in effect but the spike of energy that just shot off of Kerrigan was too strong to stop completely.
"This isn't about what I did. This is about preventing more unnecessary deaths."

If it had been a flashback it would have been different. If she had lost her mind completely it would have been so much easier. But it wasn't.
"I liked it."
no subject
Letting out a sigh, he shook his head and turned back to Kerrigan looking a bit more worse for wear.
"Look... If it comes down to something exceedingly dangerous... That puts the crew at risk... I... Maybe... I think you'd best just issue the order now ma'am." he replied grimly.
no subject
"You want to kill me now?"
no subject
He withheld furthering his thoughts as he knew she'd figure things out soon.

"If I kill someone who is uninvolved with the Daligig, and has given me no reason to attack them, I order you to kill me. Does that work?"
no subject
"..... Understood." Splicer sighed hesitantly.

Not nearly as pleasurable as plotting the death of someone else."Let's hope we never have to test that order."
