There's always something important about the local pub and one on a spaceship was no exception. Although today Ian was sitting outside watching the world go by and holding a glass of orange juice, which he occasionally sipped from. He wanted to be drinking something far stronger, but was trying to set a good example.

Tim wasn't exactly one for the going to any kind of pub or bar-- but he also understood the social benefits of doing so. If nothing else, he could occasionally overhear useful information from people going in and out, get a feel of people, things like that. There were benefits to actually keeping an ear open, after all.

He noticed the man sipping orange juice outside, and nodded politely to him as he approached, casually. Mostly he was curious about his choice, and suspicious that it may have been a similar reason to his own.

"Penny for your thoughts?" he asked as he approached, smiling faintly.

Ian smiled at the nod. "It might not be worth a penny. I was considering our mortalities." In a roundabout fashion at least.

"Sounds like that's worth more than a penny, then," he said with a raised eyebrow, and moving over to lean against a wall nearby, watching the man. "Not sure I have enough change on me."

He smiled. "There was a world war on while I grew up. Back then we were evacuated to safer places where we wouldn't be bombed. But here the children are directly in danger." As demonstrated by recent events. He sighed and shook his head.
