A Waffle with a Quaffle [Open, come play! Come spectate and chat!]
It's a beautiful day for soaring in the sky. At least....it's a beautiful simulated day, Cedric corrects himself. He stands in the center of a grassy field, hoops standing tall on either side. Racing brooms that will soon take to the sky with their riders are laid out in neat rows on either side of him, and a case containing the many balls of Quidditch rests at his feet.
He's exchanged the loose-fitted clothing he'd taken up after his injuries for loose-fitting yellow and black robes, and even that small change brightens his mood. Cedric Diggory is in his element. His cheerful, dangerous whirlwind of an element, the finest sport the wizarding world has to offer.
This should be a fun one to watch!
((And go! Use the subthreads, or start your own threads to chat and trash-talk and have a good time! Threadjacking is totally encouraged.))

...Cedric took the other bat for himself, just in case it went rogue. He looked up for confirmation, then broke the lock.
Here it comes, Sirius!

Sirius swung hard and struck the bludger away but his blow didn't land right. It whirled straight for Cedric's head. Good swing though.

"Nice hit. Here, it's coming around." He shifted to a crouch.

"It's starting to come back to me." He was going to feel this in his arm the next day but who cared.

He tried to smile encouragingly. "Want to go a few more rounds? Fly?"
That Bludger came for another attempt on Cedric's head, and he smacked it off to the side with some effort.

"Still got it?"

Unfortunately, the Bludger didn't care about Sirius's mental state. Just the state of his cranium. As it came swinging back for him Sirius suddenly recalled what advice James had given him.
"Imagine it's Snivellus's head."
It was a good memory and Sirius laughed as he hit the Bludger away.
"Damn you, Prongs. No wonder I was kicked off the team." He muttered. And then louder. "When we play you'd better hope we're on the same team, Ced."

"I sure do," he agreed solemnly, flying over to give Sirius a grin of approval. "That was a nice one. You ready for the team assignments?"
