A Waffle with a Quaffle [Open, come play! Come spectate and chat!]

It's a beautiful day for soaring in the sky. At least....it's a beautiful simulated day, Cedric corrects himself. He stands in the center of a grassy field, hoops standing tall on either side. Racing brooms that will soon take to the sky with their riders are laid out in neat rows on either side of him, and a case containing the many balls of Quidditch rests at his feet.

He's exchanged the loose-fitted clothing he'd taken up after his injuries for loose-fitting yellow and black robes, and even that small change brightens his mood. Cedric Diggory is in his element. His cheerful, dangerous whirlwind of an element, the finest sport the wizarding world has to offer.

This should be a fun one to watch!

Sirius had taken a few practice swings. He was far rustier than he would have liked and his muscles were still weak. That would change in time.

Sirius swung hard and struck the bludger away but his blow didn't land right. It whirled straight for Cedric's head. Good swing though.

"Damn. Sorry." He swung again. This time he had better luck- he hit it far away from the both of them. It would be a while before it came back.

"It's starting to come back to me." He was going to feel this in his arm the next day but who cared.

"Oh, it's time to get up in the air." Sirius said, tracking the bludger with his eyes.

Sirius followed. The broom was much easier to maneuver than his old motorcycle but he would rather be riding her than the broom. But soaring in the air it struck him, not for the first time, how free he was. This time his smile was genuine.

Unfortunately, the Bludger didn't care about Sirius's mental state. Just the state of his cranium. As it came swinging back for him Sirius suddenly recalled what advice James had given him.

"Imagine it's Snivellus's head."

It was a good memory and Sirius laughed as he hit the Bludger away.

"Damn you, Prongs. No wonder I was kicked off the team." He muttered. And then louder. "When we play you'd better hope we're on the same team, Ced."
