Gun Play [Closed]
Who: Diana and Hit Girl
Where: Sensoriums
Summary: Hit Girl teaches Diana the finer points of hurting someone.
Warnings: Flirtation and violence (on imaginary people).
While Mindy was normally not big on doing things that distracted from her duties and her alter ego, Diana had mentioned that she was interested in learning how to shoot a gun, and she couldn't blame her. With all that was going on in the ship, from the Ohm to the Daligig to general unrest, not having the basic idea how to defend yourself was as good as painting a bulls eye on your back. So she mentioned that if Diana wanted to meet in the Sensorium at a certain time, there'd be someone who would show her how to fire properly.
Was it a risk? Yeah. She didn't like the idea of getting close enough to someone that they knew her alter ego. It was bad enough Diana was a terrible flirt, but worse that she wasn't so sure she could keep a secret. On the other hand, if Howard could, and they were from the same place, why not her (hopefully)? Besides, Diana was her cook and, to a certain extent, a friend. It would be a good idea that she make sure nothing happen to her.
So she waited, barrier jacket and all, for her waitress to come through the Sensorium.

Diana rubbed her neck and took in a few lungful’s of air before speaking, looking at Hit Girl gratefully. “Thanks.”
Laughter traveled to them from the spot where Drake lay. “So, the girl’s got game?”
Diana looked from her gun to Hit Girl. “So, what should I do now?”
no subject
Probably. And you know what? Maybe that wasn't such a bad thing.
"When in doubt?" Hit Girl shrugged, and then a REAL gun, Overlord Zetta's waylaying killing gun, was in her hand. "Go big."
And now Drake was going to get a blast akin to a rocket launcher.

"He'll get back up." Diana muttered with a scowl, but she did seem relieved. He wouldn't be back up for awhile, first the flames would have to extinguish, then he'd have to recover. Which in a real situation would give Diana plenty of time to run. And that was the best she was hoping for.
Soon enough though she was back to being Diana, smiling at Hit Girl. "Thanks again. I think you see why I'd not perform so well in hand-to-hand stuff now." She waved towards the burning flesh that was Drake. "So, how do I make him vanish? Will him away?"

Their world was FUCKED UP.
"The moment you see HIM on the ship, let me know. I think we have enough psychos without one targeting my only waitress."

She kept her smile, teasing and mocking made the entire thing easier and helped her concentrate on having Drake vanish from the Sensorium.
"So, how often do you want to meet up like this?" Diana gave a wink to keep the conversation playful.
no subject
Of course she'd say that. Luckily, this was exactly the right time to tease Hit Girl. "Depends on how often you think you can handle it. You know some of what occupies my time, so figure out when you want to come here and we make it a regular thing."

"Well, you know me, I'm free most of the time but I'll have to see if my slave driver boss will give me a little time off." She brushed Hit Girl's fringe in an almost affectionate sort of way. "She can be a little demanding of me. I think you'd get along."

Diana especially, if she had to deal with guys like Drake all the time.
At this she snickered. "Yeah well, I guess she'll just have to be one waitress short sometime, huh?" The fringe brush was unexpected though. "Yoiur health comes first."
