Despite the uproar that had taken place only a day earlier, it was all quiet at the Susono Inn. Well... mostly quiet, anyway. It was home to some of the most stubborn crew members on the ship, almost all of whom had gotten involved in the brawl with the Kessek.

Allenby's arm had been broken. Simon had taken a hard one directly to the ribs. Zouichi would probably take a week to get back to real fighting form.

And Howard... well, it would probably take Howard a while to recover from what had happened.

She returns the gesture with that purposely false sweet smile, eyes flashing with her teasing nature.

“Relax. As incredibly hot as you are, it’s not all about you. You’re more a catalyst.”

Clearly with no concern for the idea of someone else’s possessions, she falls backwards to lounge comfortably on the bed, hands tucked behind her head, smirking at him. “They’re all talking about a fight with the Daligig. Not a little scuffle like then, a major one. It seems almost everyone wants rid of them, or at least to give them a good punishment of their own. Not that I disagree, but what I’m saying is everyone seems of the edge of a revolution fuelled riot.”

"I didn't say I wanted it to be about me." He's not ready to give up on the bed yet so he remains.

"Oh. Yeah. That." He leans in close to Diana with a serious business expression - not as close as she does when she wants to pop his personal bubble, but close enough to show he means it. "You do realize that now that we know we can't get off, getting rid of the Daligig is the only chance we have of not dying or going back to the FAYZ."

"Of course." Obviously, Diana had little concern for Howard's serious face, judging by how she just stared back at him with amusement glinting in her eyes. "But it's not going to be a walk in the park."

"Tell me you have a plan. I'm done thinking of plans." He can't think of plans right now. He's too fried from the event. "I'm stuck at planning how to put my shoes on the right feet right now."

"Maybe I do. Maybe I don't." She was almost parodying her own teasing tone now, because of course she did. Diana always had a plan, as those who knew her understood. She was just ironing out the last few kinks.

"Why?" She tilted head so she could give him her best taunting smile. "You wouldn't be interested, would you, Howie?"

"Depends on what your plan is. Some of your plans are retarded. You were one of the geniuses behind seducing Jack and taking over the power plant, and just in case you forgot, that idea sucked."

"Oh, yeh. That was totally my idea, I was desperately pushing to cut off all the power." Diana rolled her eyes. "I was only told to get Jack, and that was under penalty of Drake, which, by the way, was a plan that worked without a hitch."

"You know, somehow I defected from Team Psychic Boogeyhands and didn't help set fire to the city and get rid of the electricity. 'Drake's scary' only get you so far, princess." He sighs and rubs a hand over his face. "Anyway. What's your plan?"

"I love how you think how those lapses in Caine mental functioning where actually my ideas or that I actually voted for them. I thought you knew me better than that."

Diana cocks an eyebrow. "You mean, tell you?"

She gives him the a look of total amusement and the actually laughs, the musical sound filling the room as she looks totally tickled by the idea.

"Good to know who wears the pants in your relationship." He dignifies her laughter with an eye roll. "You don't actually have a plan. You just want me to think you do so that when this boat starts sinking, I pick you for my liferaft."

Diana lets the laughter pan out into chuckling before responding. "I wouldn't want you clinging to me anyway." She shrugs. "But fine, let's say I don't have a plan, so you have nothing to worry about. Let's see you come up with one on your own."

And that's where she stumps him, because while normally he would have a plan, the Daligig just took his last plan out behind the garden shed, blindfolded it, and shot it in the head. In front of him.

"Don't think that I won't." But he sounds less defiant than he just does tired.
