Despite the uproar that had taken place only a day earlier, it was all quiet at the Susono Inn. Well... mostly quiet, anyway. It was home to some of the most stubborn crew members on the ship, almost all of whom had gotten involved in the brawl with the Kessek.

Allenby's arm had been broken. Simon had taken a hard one directly to the ribs. Zouichi would probably take a week to get back to real fighting form.

And Howard... well, it would probably take Howard a while to recover from what had happened.

"You think so?" Zouichi smiled a little. "Thanks. And you know what? You're right. They are a bunch of bullies. And we are going to get them off this ship, one way or another."

Er... but first he'd have to heal up from that last round. "Anyway, I guess now we know that we can hurt them."

Hana rolled his eyes at Zouichi being incapable of seeing how cool he was.

"I can't wait to teach them a lesson, no one's totally indestructible, right?"

Sorry, Hana, that was just how Zouichi rolled.

"Right. and I think their particular lesson has been a long time in coming. I don't know what the hell kind of lesson they thought they'd be setting for us, but they messed with the wrong people this time."

Nodding, Hana grinned, clearly thrilled at the prospect. "They're gonna be shaking in their boots. You can't hurt somebody and not expect us all to make them pay the price."

"No," he said grimly, "You can't."

Then he turned his attention back to Hana. "Anyway, glad to see you weren't injured in the scuffle. Were you there? I was... a little too busy to pay attention."

“Oh, heh, I was about to jump in but Cassandra stopped me.” He looked a little embarrassed. “And I didn’t want to leave her in the middle of a riot by herself.”

Zouichi nodded. "Makes sense. She was probably worried about you. Simon and Allenby didn't make it out of that battle feeling so hot, either."

He smiled a little. "Anyway, you have someone to look out for you. That's good, right?"

"Yeh, it's nice even if she over reacts sometimes." He gave Zouichi an endearing smile, showing his true feelings about how happy he was that Sandy seemed protective of him.

"But I still wish I'd have gotten the chance to smack one of those guys in their smug jaws."

"Well... I guess that's just what people do when they worry about you. Overreact." Zouichi knew all about that, of course. "I guess I'm kind of surprised she showed up at the Punishment, though. I wasn't sure how many people were going to go see something like that."

"Well, we both know Howard, we had to see what was going on." Hana said in a tone and expression that clearly displayed this should be an obvious fact.

Zouichi paused. "That's true, but... what do you mean you had to see what was going on? You mean you didn't know what Punishment was?"

"Ummm... No." Hana admitted. "But we kinda heard some of the stuff people around us were saying and got a pretty good idea of what might have happened."
