Ildraniath had found a small park that was out of the way of most of the main streets. It was quiet, shaded. Perfect for a little get together. If people had read her message on the comms, they ought to show up. And if they didn't, she would figure out another way to proceed. Even if she had only a handful of people she could rely on, she would press on. Better than inactivity and waiting for results that never came. She knew patience, but this? Was simply waiting for the sake of waiting.

She folded her hands into the sleeves of her robes and waited, stone still. Once they arrived, she'd have a few words to say to everyone. And then they could begin bandying ideas and organizing.

Tarrant spoke quietly, but when he did, his words were infused with the invisible power of the fae, reinforcing his every turn of phrase, impressing meaning and purpose. "As some of you may know," he said, "I was recently elected to a position on the ship's Council. I have not yet met with my new colleagues, and thus cannot speak for them, only for myself. However, I believe our current position under the Daligig's control is untenable. Sooner or later, this conflict will come to a head, whether we take the initiative or continue to do nothing. It is inevitable as long as they hide information from us, as long as they hold power over us, and as long as we work at cross-purposes."

"As a councilmember, I have no military power -- but what I can offer is my skills and strengths as an individual. And I absolutely believe it is necessary to do so. Our would-be masters put down our predecessors without remorse; there is no reason to believe they won't do the same to us. Together, I believe we can forge a plan to cut ourselves loose from their influence."

He smiled, a touch of gallows humor in his expression. "And obviously, I'm willing to stake my life on that belief."

Kaya was also one for clearing her throat. Unlike the last rebellion, where she'd joined impromptu, here they were actually talking about doing something the Council would likely oppose. Since the time she had been brigged, she had been working steadily to rebuild her reputation in fighting with the crew and helping to heal them in times of crisis. It was possible this would ruin all she'd done to be a trusted member among the crew.

She was at least glad a council member was HERE, but he was also new. How much would that matter to the other members?

"I wish we could consult the other members, but with the shake up recently with our captains and some heads of our departments gone, ship morale is at a low. If anything, this is the perfect opportunity to gather information about the Daligig and muster some support and allies against them. We need go take advantage of this window now. The question is, what exactly do we do?"

"For now," said Tarrant, "Perhaps we can obtain some useful information on Agrestic. Weapons, supplies, and tools, as well. That's what I intend to do. And in the meantime..."

"We have some sort of oracular device aboard the ship, don't we? That Tapestry. I don't know how useful it's been so far, but it could bear some additional examining. Surely an object that's supposed to help us claim our destinies may have a thing or two to reveal about how to best go about it." Not that Tarrant was predisposed to believe some kind of alien wall hanging could reveal the future to them. But he'd seen some strange things on the ship and besides, it was another avenue to pursue.

Billy stood again, digging out several slips of paper and passing them around.

"This comes from a restaurant owner I've met here, and it might give us a future if we do this. We have a radio frequency from another GIA planet that's likely to ally with us, and I was told we'd be able to get information from their signal. We should work on tapping in."
