In the ruins - Open
Maria sat on the foot of her massive gear which was standing next to the boulder that used to be one of the buildings marked for demolition. She looked a bit winded as the robot let loose a small gout of steam from the work it was doing and looked towards the actual buildings that were being salvaged and fixed.
"You know, this is kind of like doing reclamation work on the outer rings of the city but not. I don't know, at least we have something to do Seibzehn? Just wish it didn't involve so much use of the gravity canon, probably taking a lot out of you."
The robot just stood there as the girl stood up and wobbled a bit before falling to her knees.
"Ok, 15 more minutes for you to build up reactor strength I guess. Can't argue with that."
The robot just stared down at her and if someone were VERY observant they may notice the thing shake its head just a bit, but Maria seemed oblivious to it.

But considering the massive amount of stuff he's seen in the Pegasus Galaxy, he's not as alarmed as a normal person would be. In fact, there's something else that's grabbing his attention.
And that is the 13 year-old wobbling and falling to her knees. From his position a few feet away, it looks like she's in trouble. So, Dr. Beckett jogs on over.
"Excuse me, love. Are you okay?" His Scottish-accented voice is a wee bit worried. In fact, he just looks worried.

"Hrm? I'm just a bit tired. We've been demolishing buildings and I think Seibzehn's reactor needs more time to recharge. The higher grade weapons systems do that."
no subject
"How long have you been going at this?" He asks, motioning at the demolition. People who were 'just a bit tired' don't usually fall to their knees.

She looks up at the robot and shakes her head.
"It may have been dark out when we started."

He looks up at the big robot. He wasn't sure how all this worked, but it was obvious that it took something out of the wee lassie.
"When was the last time you had something to eat or drink?"

Way up at the top of the gear, a curious pony floated, wings beating steadily, so she could peer at the gear's head curiously. "I dunno what this is, but it's pretty cool!"
no subject
"That's Seibzehn! He's my gear, and if there was more space I'd show you what we can really do, but, I need to wait for the reactor to recover a bit too."

It was worth investigating. She floated down toward the foot.
"Are you Maria?" she asked, all smiles.
no subject
"I am. And I'm jealous, I don't have nearly enough space here to fly."
no subject
She's trying to picture Maria's predicament and failing.

"I ride on my Seibzehn's head. Maybe next time we make planetfall, but um... Did you need me for something?"
no subject
She looked awfully excited, and there was definitely an idea forming in her mind. They were going to have fun!

She arrived in time to see Maria fall to her knees. With a groan, Allenby hopped down along the giant chunks of former building and strode over. "Hey, don't tell me you still ain't eatin' properly?"

Which was sort of a weird system. There were Gundams that were powered up by the pilot's emotions, and she sure felt the impact whenever Nobel Gundam got hit, but Allenby hadn't heard of a system that did that without a Trace suit or similar. Which made it even more important that the kid got proper nutrition. "Did you see Zouichi's post about where the slop comes from? It's still gross, but it ain't people. The ship just clones plants and livestock to make it."

She looked up at the robot. "How does this guy work, exactly? I never heard of a mech that affects you when you aren't actually piloting it."

When he was certain that they were resting for a while, he approached cautiously.
"Do you need anything?" he asked. The girl seemed fatigued, and if giant robots could look drained then this one somehow did.
no subject
"No, I just overtaxed Seibzehn's reactor and sometimes I can feel that. I guess its a side effect of the graviton cannon."
no subject
"I'm not certain that I understood any of that, but at least you seem to be alright."
no subject
"Firing the big gun isn't that big of a deal, but making sure it doesn't get out of control takes a lot out of me."
no subject
"I can tell." Because obvious thing is obvious. "Don't you think you should call it a day?"
