cats don't belong in dressing rooms

Who: Collab post between Cazali and Uva; otherwise, open!
Where: Around the sensoriums.
Summary: Cazali's trying to trick his body in to taking his core medals in the sensorium, while Uva stands "guard" outside the door in Greeed form. Both are pretty pathetic about it.
Warnings: Dumb and Dumber here may try to yummy anyone who makes themselves too available; if you don't want them to, just say so!

Long story short, Cazali didn't have enough cell medals. That fact had been drilled in to his head enough lately that it sort of made him feel "sick". Here he was, ironically with almost all his Core Medals, and...he couldn't keep himself stable enough to handle them. It was the exact opposite issue he'd had for most of his life, and the itch to fix it wasn't something he could scratch easily. It wasn't like anyone would volunteer to get a parasite put in them, and trying to nab someone over the last planetside hadn't worked out too well. So, he had to take another approach- entering the sensorium, and imagining up more cell medals. He'd hoped that it'd trick his body in to thinking that he could hold more cores, but if his grumblings through the sensorium's door were any indication, it wasn't going so well.

~

So while Cazali hems and haws over getting his meager medals arrayed just so, Uva paces by the door as his real buglike self, human disguise foregone because man like he cares. And anyway, his real form has a distinct statistical advantage at making random people skitter away without bothering him, and that's the whole point of standing by the door while Cazali gets his primadonna on, right? Right.

He is pretty darn frustrated over their impromptu cell medal gathering plan planetside falling through, considering he doesn't trust getting another chance like that just crawling up in his face. Serves him right for explicitly relying on Cazali for a plan, really. It was hard to respect his plan making skills when the cat Greeed had been here for a good amount of time already, simply dwindling himself away. Not that he knew the full story, but haha, Greeed explaining things to each other.

Allenby frowned when she approached the Sensoriums and saw a bug... guy pacing back and forth in front of one of the doors. Did that mean it was taken? She glanced down at the Gundam schematics on her PADD... on the other hand, she didn't really want to go into the Sensoriums today. Or any day. They were just the only option when she was working on the first stages of a project and didn't want to break the real thing.

"You waitin' for someone?" she asked, only looking a little put out at having her plans interrupted.
greeeaserbug: (that's more like it)

"Yeah, none of your business," he snips. Not that it's that hard to hear Cazali's constant fussing from beyond the door, though.
soulinherfists: ACTION LEAP (Time for badass gymnastics!)

Now, if Uva had just said 'yeah,' or 'yeah it'll be a while,' Allenby would have moved on. But now she had a problem with his attitude. She put a hand on her hip, glaring at him.

"Oh yeah?" She jerked a head at the door. "Well, I gotta get in here to do my job. So just how long are you and the medal guy gonna be taking up space?"

Zouichi looked at Cazali, then at Uva. On his shoulder, Alan was preening himself, though he stopped to stare at the two weirdos inside.

"Am I interrupting something?" This was parrot-training time, dammit.

There's that 'Greeed competence slippage' corollary at work again. I.E., Greeed are always less competent in any sort of group.

That is definitely why someone got past him at all, and not any sort of actual fault, thank you.

"--What? One got in?" Uva's through the door and in the sensorium proper in a moment after hearing that.

Whoa, it was like an cosplay event in here. Besides, Zouichi had only tazed Cazali AFTER he'd done that whole attacking-another-crewmember thing. It wasn't like he derived any pleasure from it.

...okay, maybe he had a little bit.

"Not planning on attacking anyone else, are we?"

Alan stared at Uva's antenna.

There was an odd scent in the air as Ranulf approached the Sensoriums, but it wasn't entirely unfamiliar; it was similar to Cazali's, he realized after a few moments. Someone else like him, then.

The... individual he soon came within sight of didn't look much like Cazali to Ranulf's eyes--more like a giant bug of some sort than a feline creature. But his nose didn't lie. He wondered if this was a friend of Caz's... and for that matter, why he was just pacing around in front of one of the doors. Was there a problem?

Ranulf approached with a wave and a friendly grin. "Hey there--" His ears abruptly twitched and swiveled towards the door as they picked up on the faint sounds of grumbling from the other side, and he glanced at it curiously. "Is anything wrong?"

"His internal clock, maybe! This shouldn't be taking so long."

He stops pacing to just outright glare at the door - well, his head is tilted at a rather threatening angle towards the door, so it's as close to a glare as you're getting without a face that can emote.
catoutofwater: (curiosity killed... well you know)

[personal profile] catoutofwater 2012-02-14 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
And that was Cazali's voice coming from the other side of the door. This person was a friend of his after all, then... or, well, an acquaintance at the very least. Ranulf couldn't quite be sure whether they were genuinely arguing or just exchanging good-natured banter.

"Hey, Cazali?" Ranulf called loudly enough to be heard clearly through the door. "Need a hand with anything in there?" It sure sounded like he was having trouble of some sort.

That was odd.

Billy was going to get some training done by the Sensoriums, but there was a creature standing in the way. How...fascinating. Was it dangerous? He didn't know, but he decided to risk the investigation today.

"Good morning, sir." He'd try the casual first.
greeeaserbug: (green screen)

[personal profile] greeeaserbug 2012-02-13 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
..Alright, he's got to give some credit to a human that will just stroll up to a Greeed and say 'good morning.' Consider his attention diverted from his angry pacing.

"I'll say it's good when something good happens."

"What was so bad about today?" Billy asked. Hey, he was trying to keep things normal here. Less of a chance of getting hurt that way.
handpuppeeet: (Ankh-- lol cool)

[personal profile] handpuppeeet 2012-02-13 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, did you want a full story, Uva? Because here was a random not!person that certainly wasn't going to scurry away at your Greeed appearance. In fact he's amazed you had the balls to appear like that in public when you weren't throwing a coin at someone's forehead.

So Ankh was basically just strolling over to Uva outside the sensorium, walking near him and to the door and looking like he was going to open it up. "Heh; having fun being a bodyguard again?"
greeeaserbug: (harrumph)

[personal profile] greeeaserbug 2012-02-13 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha-hey, Ankh, guess who's not getting into that door? You, that's who! Uva's now ~suavely~ leaning against the door itself. So help him god he can't really remember that much about, Cazali, if you open it while he's leaning on it he's going to wait an extra month when you inevitably medalsnap.

"Oh, it's a blast." No one ever said Greeed can't be sarcastic. "How's your usual skulking?"
handpuppeeet: (Ankh-- Well ya see)

[personal profile] handpuppeeet 2012-02-13 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Ankh didn't really mind the fact that Uva had denied him access to the sensorium, and instead he just turned around and leaned his back on the door. "Not bad," he said nonchalantly, crossing his arms.

"You learn interesting things around here when you listen carefully." And an ever-so-slight shrug.
greeeaserbug: (cazali you're a stalker)

[personal profile] greeeaserbug 2012-02-13 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Really. Like what?"

This has basically turned into a 'who can play it coolest' off. Luckily, Uva has a built in advantage by not being the fire element!
handpuppeeet: (Ankh-- Weeellll~)

[personal profile] handpuppeeet 2012-02-15 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
The problem here is that Ankh doesn't give a crap about your tacit play-it-cool contest. You're also pretty dumb if you think Ankh doesn't know you're there, Cazali. Hawk Vision was a pretty nifty thing.

"Things about the ship; the ruling bodies, the security enforcement." Ankh jerked his head towards the sensorium door. "Hasn't your flea told you about everything?"
