cats don't belong in dressing rooms
Who: Collab post between Cazali and Uva; otherwise, open!
Where: Around the sensoriums.
Summary: Cazali's trying to trick his body in to taking his core medals in the sensorium, while Uva stands "guard" outside the door in Greeed form. Both are pretty pathetic about it.
Warnings: Dumb and Dumber here may try to yummy anyone who makes themselves too available; if you don't want them to, just say so!
Long story short, Cazali didn't have enough cell medals. That fact had been drilled in to his head enough lately that it sort of made him feel "sick". Here he was, ironically with almost all his Core Medals, and...he couldn't keep himself stable enough to handle them. It was the exact opposite issue he'd had for most of his life, and the itch to fix it wasn't something he could scratch easily. It wasn't like anyone would volunteer to get a parasite put in them, and trying to nab someone over the last planetside hadn't worked out too well. So, he had to take another approach- entering the sensorium, and imagining up more cell medals. He'd hoped that it'd trick his body in to thinking that he could hold more cores, but if his grumblings through the sensorium's door were any indication, it wasn't going so well.

So while Cazali hems and haws over getting his meager medals arrayed just so, Uva paces by the door as his real buglike self, human disguise foregone because man like he cares. And anyway, his real form has a distinct statistical advantage at making random people skitter away without bothering him, and that's the whole point of standing by the door while Cazali gets his primadonna on, right? Right.
He is pretty darn frustrated over their impromptu cell medal gathering plan planetside falling through, considering he doesn't trust getting another chance like that just crawling up in his face. Serves him right for explicitly relying on Cazali for a plan, really. It was hard to respect his plan making skills when the cat Greeed had been here for a good amount of time already, simply dwindling himself away. Not that he knew the full story, but haha, Greeed explaining things to each other.

"You waitin' for someone?" she asked, only looking a little put out at having her plans interrupted.

"-if I had ten more medals-"
Also screw you he is doing his best okay, geez.
no subject
"Oh yeah?" She jerked a head at the door. "Well, I gotta get in here to do my job. So just how long are you and the medal guy gonna be taking up space?"
no subject
"Am I interrupting something?" This was parrot-training time, dammit.

Instead of having any direct comment at him (he is NOT getting tazed again, thanks), he turned his back to them and grumbled some more.
"Uva, you're not a very good guard~ And here I thought you were the professional one~"
no subject
That is definitely why someone got past him at all, and not any sort of actual fault, thank you.
"--What? One got in?" Uva's through the door and in the sensorium proper in a moment after hearing that.
no subject
...okay, maybe he had a little bit.
"Not planning on attacking anyone else, are we?"
Alan stared at Uva's antenna.

The... individual he soon came within sight of didn't look much like Cazali to Ranulf's eyes--more like a giant bug of some sort than a feline creature. But his nose didn't lie. He wondered if this was a friend of Caz's... and for that matter, why he was just pacing around in front of one of the doors. Was there a problem?
Ranulf approached with a wave and a friendly grin. "Hey there--" His ears abruptly twitched and swiveled towards the door as they picked up on the faint sounds of grumbling from the other side, and he glanced at it curiously. "Is anything wrong?"
no subject
He stops pacing to just outright glare at the door - well, his head is tilted at a rather threatening angle towards the door, so it's as close to a glare as you're getting without a face that can emote.
no subject
Something clinked loudly near the door, and more growls followed.
"...I don't think this is going to work, after all."
no subject
"Hey, Cazali?" Ranulf called loudly enough to be heard clearly through the door. "Need a hand with anything in there?" It sure sounded like he was having trouble of some sort.
no subject
"Uh." A pause, and he turned his 'eyes' to Uva, as if not sure what to say. "It...it has to do with the 'eating' thing." He shrugged, as if trying to keep casual, but damnit he hadn't expected his interests to cross like this. Uva'd mock him for being frank with a human(oid), and he didn't want to be an ass to Ranulf.
"...you miiight be able to help by keeping this lug occupied a little longer while I try something else~? Fair warning, he's soooort of a jerk, so sorry if he's rude~" With a slap to the back of va's head, Caz's torso disappeared back in to the sensorium.

Billy was going to get some training done by the Sensoriums, but there was a creature standing in the way. How...fascinating. Was it dangerous? He didn't know, but he decided to risk the investigation today.
"Good morning, sir." He'd try the casual first.

"I'll say it's good when something good happens."

Hello, just gonna make snide commentary through the door because being Cazali is suffering.

So Ankh was basically just strolling over to Uva outside the sensorium, walking near him and to the door and looking like he was going to open it up. "Heh; having fun being a bodyguard again?"
no subject
So help him god he can't really remember that much about, Cazali, if you open it while he's leaning on it he's going to wait an extra month when you inevitably medalsnap."Oh, it's a blast." No one ever said Greeed can't be sarcastic. "How's your usual skulking?"
no subject
also known as every other post here, when Cazali heard Uva speaking to someone this time...he didn't return a snide remark or derail anything. He just eavesdropped.Besides, he had this strange feeling he'd be stuck in medal mode for an extra month if he dared open the door. Huh.
no subject
"You learn interesting things around here when you listen carefully." And an ever-so-slight shrug.
no subject
This has basically turned into a 'who can play it coolest' off. Luckily, Uva has a built in advantage by not being the fire element!
no subject
But seriously, Greeed are just having an eavesdrop-a-thon. Just another Tuesday.

"Things about the ship; the ruling bodies, the security enforcement." Ankh jerked his head towards the sensorium door. "Hasn't your flea told you about everything?"
