Demonstrative healing [semi-open]

Who: Closed to Faiza initially, open to others after that.
Where: Sensoriums
Summary: Bight has an appointment with Faiza to demonstrate his abilities on the healing side of things. Afterwards he may hang around for any who wish to bother him.
Warnings: Potential sensorium simulated injuries, otherwise none.

After his short conversation with Faiza, he had set his afternoon aside to provide the new head of Medical a proper demonstration of his abilities of a restorative nature. Such an appointment provided something of a break from his assistance in the reconstruction efforts, having thrown himself into assisting in both his draconic and human forms after his decision to step down from the council.

Having made his way to the sensoriums he had conjured up a familiar sight, the entirety of Sanction spread out before his vantage point near the ruins of the temple of Deurghast, positioned a portion of the way up the side of Mount Ashkir. The mouth of the Sanction harbour easily visible off to the left, steam ever rising from the motes of lava that met the sea both to the north and south of the harbour. The lava motes in question ringing near the entirety of the vale of Sanction, originating from the three vast volcanoes that had plagued the city with ash and fire prior to his arrival.

Though he himself had little on him besides his golden tunic and leather pants, beside him on the ground sat two small backpacks that appeared to be made of fine leather. They were in fact a pair of handy haversacks that he had discovered in his vault, two that he had thought that the medical department could see much use of for the transport of vital supplies from location to location.

Thus there he waited, patiently as he contemplated the city that had been his home for the last fourty years, one that he had poured his efforts to bring it to the state of prosperity it was shown to have before the Ohm had intervened.

(Ooc: Feel free to bother him after after his meeting with Faiza)

Faiza arrived a little bit late. Unfortunately, being a doctor and running a department meant that appointments could get delayed. Still, she wasn't very late as she made her way through the Sensoriums, checking the way that her hijab was laying, looking around to find the one that she wanted.

"Coun..." She paused, shaking her head. "Not Councilor anymore, right? Is it Lord Bight, then?" She walked over, then paused as she got a look at where they were. "Oh. Is this your city?"

Faiza stepped forward so that she could have a better look. "Oh, it's beautiful." She didn't mention that it smelled much nicer than she would have expected a medieval-style city to smell, too. Perhaps it was a quirk of his world. "I've always imagined something like this must have been what London looked like, once upon a time. Or maybe one of the other cities in England in the past."

She looked around, then chuckled. "I feel like I'd fit in much better in my chain."

"Well, I'm not an archeologist. I just like watching Time Team." She turned, looking surprised at what was behind them. "I really should learn to look around more when I walk into places," she muttered, shaking her head at herself before following.

"Oh, no. I meant more about what England looked like...you know, nevermind. You're right, that's not what we're here for." She waved her hand in front of her face, trying to get her mind back on track.

Which, honestly, the change in scene helped with. Her stance shifted slightly, going from nervous and talkative to more business like. "Honestly, I tend not to worry about the inconveniences unless we're in a situation where the blood would be more of a problem than leaving it would solve. There may be better things to save the power for." She looked over the injured, tamping down on the urge to help herself. "I think I'd like to know about the group healing. I assume that takes a fair bit more power?"

"It would probably be of more use in triage, where we can gather people injured at about the same level together." Faiza did move forward once the energies had dissipated, checking over the soldiers. Of course, she hadn't done more than a cursory examination by eye before they were healed, but they certainly seemed to be in much better condition than they had been. "And having other healers in the medical grouping that can fight would definitely be a good idea. As much as I don't like taking time away from healing when we have wounded, I'd much rather not end up with the medical tent being overrun by whatever enemies we have, either."

She stood up after a moment, looking around. "I assume healing a single individual is similar?"

"Of course. Being able to heal the injured during battle would be of great use, too. It would help keep us from being overrun with patients." Which, honestly, was incredibly useful because they tended to start off with a lot of patients that were locals. "And this works on any species, not just the ones you're best used to?"

Seeing the severely injured soldier brought a glow of power to Faiza's hands, though she tamped it down. The purpose of the exercise was to see what Lord Bight could do. The effect of the spell, though, made her rock back on her heels. "Well. That's very impressive."

She nodded along with the last of it. "Yes, of course. And I wouldn't ask you to do it except in the most dire of circumstances, either. The rest of the medical team can handle a great deal, after all. We have a few other healers and I'm fairly confident in our skills. But knowing that such a power exists will be a great relief."

She paused, considering. "That last ability is definitely one that could be of use. We don't know what sort of people Stacy has picked up, after all, and I think there has been trouble before with...unbalanced individuals. Knowing that, if such an individual were a threat to the crew, there may be a way to help them would be...invaluable."

Faiza blushed, bowing her head. "I hope so. I'm lucky, though. I have very good people in my department. Sam put together a very good group before I even woke up." And sure, it had been added to, since, but the basis was there. "I only hope I can keep things running as well."

She looked at the soldiers, biting her bottom lip for a moment as she considered that. "I don't think I have any questions at the moment. Though I thank you for leaving the option open for me at a later date." It was entirely possible she could think of questions later.

Faiza's smile was brilliant. "Thank you. While I am more than willing to speak to the Council myself, of course, the extra back up couldn't hurt in the least."

Then he started talking about the bags and her interest was piqued. Especially when he started reaching into the bag. She crouched down, pulling the bag open so that she could see he wasn't just curling his arm down into it. "Oh, that's brilliant," she murmured. "I could have used that during my studies." Since uni books were always so damned heavy. "But that could very much be of use for us. We're working on getting some packs together for use in medical teams, but these would be very useful for getting even more supplies planetside if we have another fight like that last one against the Ohm."
