A Different kind of Party.
Ronnae, after all, had friend, like her, who had been podded before they could see this day, Kaya being one of the few left. Words, of course, couldn't describe the elation Kaya felt to see the day Billy was finally married, and to one of the closest female friends she had, no less!
Granted, many of her friends had been podded too. If there was anything to celebrate, it was that the two of them were still here, and she was going to make sure that even if no one else joined the, the party would not stop!
She had to do some quick reading prior to this, of course. Comparing and contrasting the types of activities men and women participated in led to some rather lewd reading Kaya was glad no one was over her shoulder to stumble upon. In any case, this was Ronnae they were talking about, so she had to take things with caution.
Alcohol, of course, had to be obtained. While Kaya had mostly stayed away from it for awhile, this was a special occasion, and so the two of them had to be in high spirits by the end of the night. She had also decided to have the backdrop something akin to a large, robust forest at night: there was a roaring fire, inhabitants who would be coming by that Kaya had come up with herself, and in the middle of it all was Kaya herself, dressed in a rather strange state of dress (for her) with her hair down over her face.
What could this mean?

Staring down a dragon? A demon overlord? The face of chaos? Cakewalk. All of this? Nerve wracking.
In the end, she finally made it to the location and looked around in surprise. Just what was Kaya up to?

Where Kaya was standing was a long, rectangular altar, and there, though there were several wine goblets only one was dissimilar: one that was orange sculpted with a sword for the stem.
"Tonight," Kaya said, in a voice booming with confidence and a hint of the Voice, "my sister will celebrate the last few days of her freedom before she dedicates herself to her life mate, a ceremony that bonds all things, that manifests itself as love and devotion. For this, she will undergo something that we can only hope to achieve, however a person might find it.
"However," Kaya said with an edge, "OUR Ceremony tonight will be something entirely different. This will be one of sisterhood, of revelry, and one that will show how special our Ronnae is tonight."
She smiled over at her, but there was a bit of mischievousness there. "Ronnae, would you step over here, with me?"

Just outside the sensorium doors she shifted, down into the elven form Kaya would recognise in a smooth silken dress as she stepped into the room in her usual nigh silent manner so as not to interrupt Kaya or Ronnae. Dipping her head to Kaya in greetings, waiting for her to finish.
Taking that moment to take in the scene, the altar and goblets upon it, Kaya's current attire and that hint of mischieviousness in her tone as she asked Ronnae over.
"Ronnae, Kaya, I hope I'm not too late," She greets with her usual cheerful air about her, if with an added playful hint.

"Oh, ah, w-well... I..." she looked down embarrassed and prodded her fingers together nervously. "Y-you do remember I'm more inclined to multiple l-lovers.... you know what... n-never mind!" she said in quick and timid whisper before shuffling ever so slowly in that direction.
At the presence of Celena, she nearly jumped in surprise since she was so focused on pushing away her nervousness, but greeted her with a smile nonetheless! After all, it was a very loved face after all! A dear friend!
"H-hi! Of c-course no, you're fine!"
no subject
"How many lovers you take is your business," Kaya said, although the murmur of the people in the room tended to sound like they greatly favored Ronnae's arrangement, "But I'm talking about the bond itself. Lovers come and go, but the ones who matter most will be the ones that stick besides you."
Not that she would say more on this: that was, after all, a speech for Ronnae's actual wedding day, and that wasn't why they here, was it?
"And now for the festivities! I figured it wouldn't do to have a party like this without some dancing! This is where these girls come in! Ronnae, Celena, please direct your eyes to our honored guests!"
The women removed their hoods. They were all human women, but wild in the face, looking as if removing the hoods had been the excuse they needed to let loose their true nature. They wore fawn skins, and called out in yelps and laughter. A few women who were NOT wearing the fawn skin were instead wearing goat fur, including horns upon their heads. These women seemed to be the music makers, and indeed started with drums and horns to energize the others.
The wild women moved towards the main three, inviting the to dance. Kaya took one particular short red hair girl's hand and danced furiously with her, waving for the others to join.

She let her dance over the scene before them, and over the human women before them, those wild fawn skin dressed women to the music makers dressed in goat fur.
Celena cast a playful grin across to Ronnae as the wild women approached before stepping forth to take their offer, taking the hand of one of the taller womens hands to dance with and around her in fluid, graceful motions afforded to her by her elven form.

She turned to Celena just in time to see the playful grin, making the timid half orc blush as she saw her too, move towards the ground and join them in dance.
Ronnae however, took a few shy steps back, fidgeting a little in place. But it seemed as if the dancers would be having none of that here! They encouraged her with song and dance, moving around near her and casting friendly smiles. Soon enough, Ronnae moved a bit hesitantly at first, but eventually began a more subtle movement of the dance, joining in with her friends as the dance continued.

So Kaya had decided instead to associate a group of girl who embodied that, minus a few gorier details, and adapt them for the Sensorium. The result had been, of course, one far more primal and closer to Sheeana's description of certain Fremen gatherings that resulted in...well, more colorful activities. True, that did not prevent them from being a bit too friendly during the dance, but that was more from the frenzied actions of the activity and less about any actual attraction.
So adaptation later Kaya found herself matching her partner's movement, adding some of her own, and then finding herself employing a jig of her own, closer to the object she was headed for.
"And now, for the crowning point of this party: lets break out the wine!"
This was, of course, met with cheers and hooting.
no subject
Not once though did she break from her dance, fluid and free as she matched and flowed with the dance of the women around her, flowing between and around them with the same graceful ease that she wove the sky on wing. Not for a moment did she lose track of the two amongst the women, a soft grin cast across to them both as they danced.
She couldn't help but chuckle at the hoots and cheers that were brought on by the announcement of wine.
Is it OK if I jump in here?
Arturia wasn't one for dancing... well, not like this. Camelot had boasted its fair share of revelries and dances, but it had only been others who had been permitted to let loose and enjoy themselves. The King, on the other hand, had to present a regal demeanour for the people to look up to and trust as their protector. Whenever Arturia danced, it was a solemn affair to display to the people. She had no earthly idea how to dance properly any other way.
Fortunately for her piece of mind, she still carried the wedding gift for her friend and comrade, carefully -- though somewhat clumsily -- wrapped.
Of course! <3
Nonetheless, she was doing her best to enjoy herself and push as many worries and anxieties away as she could. She closed her eyes, letting the music flow through her, the beats guiding her steps and the feeling of the sounds allowing for fluid and graceful yet powerful and agile movements. Dancing was one of her elements, her fighting style was based on it after all, and right now, it was definitely showing.
She appreciated her friends being there more than anything, shaking her head with a small timid smile at Kaya's ability to raise up the crowd with her strong conviction, returning the smile towards Celena always being one to admire the dragon in elven guise who has been a great friend to her and, on one of her swift spins, she noticed another familiar figure.
"Lady S-Saber!" she exclaimed as she stumbled out of the dancing motion in surprise, that crimson blush rising through her face once more. "H-hi."
Re: Of course! <3
So Kaya broke out of the dancing with the few girls and swept Ronnae's hands, smiling. She gave a nod to Saber, of course, but also nodded her head toward where the wine was. There was a time for seriousness and scripted ceremony, and then there was a time for enjoying yourself!
Besides, this was not ALL Kaya had in store for the girls.
Re: Of course! <3
Slipping gracefully between the dancers as she danced her way closer and closer to the wine, with a thought the faint hint of glow making itself known where her markings would be, four of the goblets of wine lifting and floating through the air even as she danced guiding the goblets to their intended recipients.
"Wine, ladies?" She offered as her dance drew her closer to Kaya and Ronnae, drifting their respective goblets down to where they could collect them, "Wine, lady Saber?" She offered as she gracefully drifted through between dancing women to collect her own wine mid movement even as she brought Saber's own to float before her.

She was, admittedly, slightly surprised. Arturia probably shouldn't have been, but this was the first sort of a celebration which hadn't meant having to maintain a mask. Or, at least, not quite as rigid one.
"Oh... yes, please," she accepted the offer of wine with a faint smile. With a practised skill , the girlish knight balanced Ronnae's gift on one hand and the proffered goblet on the other. The present wasn't fragile, but better to err on the side of caution.

Nonetheless, she moved back to the group through the dancers and settled nearby them with a timid smile. Once the goblet reached her hands, she held it a bit awkwardly and fidgeted a bit. The first time she had drunk this sort of thing had been with Cagalli and Sakura... She was a lightweight for sure, as it had been discovered that day. So she'd definitely try to be cautious as to how much she drinks.
Looking towards Celena, she gave an appreciative smile and nod, "Thank you very m-much~" before turning towards Saber, her smile only widening at having such close friends with her. Kaya had done a wonderful job that was for certain!
"T-thank you Lady Saber, I... I'm really happy to see you here. It's been a while."
no subject
Certainly, there was someone who was going to make sure that the night started right! In fact, she started to dance toward Ronnae and Saber, intending to begin the next phase of the celebration. She had no doubt that Celena would follow soon enough

"Am I late?" Clearly, but there's dancing, and Nima knows just how to join into that. She lauches herself into the air and lands on an empty space on the open ground.
"Ronnae! Happy engagement!" she calls, dancing by the woman of honor.
no subject
Dipping her head with a grin to Ronnae as she danced, "Most welcome,"
When Kaya began dancing toward Ronnae and Saber she began to do the same. Her gaze drifting over to Nima as she entered, giving a wave across to her in greetings, especially after she'd launched herself into the air and over to open ground.

And she meant it; Ronnae had been her first friend ever since Saber had found herself aboard Stacy. It had not been easy opening up to another person after all that had happened to her even before her arrival, but the young half-orc girl had more than proven her purity of heart, and the Heroic Spirit would do what she could to support her.
She continued to be mystified by the other women, however... and decidedly out of her proverbial element. Living her entire life masquerading as a man... could she really ever be appropriately feminine? It seemed as if all she knew how to be was a knight and king.
no subject
Ronnae appreciated Saber's presence for sure. She had not only grown fond, but very close to the King of Knights during her time aboard the ship, confiding in her whenever they had private girl talks about things familiar to both their times in their worlds, or things on board Stacy, she held a sort of admiration for Saber.
At the newest addition to the party, Ronnae smiled, recognizing Nima immediately and looking in awe at her grace and movement with the wonderful entrance. This get together had some strong and admirable females for sure and it made her feel a bit inadequate but in awe of their presence. They were certainly people she looked up to.
The continued dancing however made her blush a bit and maybe shuffle back a bit timidly, not that she wasn't enjoying herself, she was loving the time and effort put into the celebration and the fun everyone was having, it was just in her nature to be timid and sheepish.

"There many walks and phases in our lives, and the celebration of revelry and laughter is a big part of that: it makes us smile in our good times, and keeps us in good spirits. But there is another side to that: our happiness comes through our own hard work and toil, by making sure we deserve every good thing we can have. The desire to be at one with our space is a constant reminder that as we force ourselves to the limit, we can find where we are, and what we can do."
She smiled, and now the fire was set ablaze, casting shadows all over the women. "The wine is still here for anyone to take, and now comes the more interesting part of our party: learning about each other. Let's sit by the fire, and talk about one of our toils. We'll agree to never talk about it outside this room, and only if you feel comfortable in telling it. We are all different people, and as such, each will bring us closer to understanding what's to come, for Ronnae and ourselves."
She sat crosslegged by the fire, exhaling so steam now hovered all around them. "Who would like to speak first?"
no subject
She listened with a smile at her choice of words, nodding in approval as she looked to the other women who had gathered for the celebration of Ronnae's upcoming wedding. Letting her gaze return to Kaya as the fire lit, her gaze curious as she continued. Her toils? Which of the many would she speak on she did not know at first.
Thoughtfully she sat as the fire was lit, letting her gaze drift to the steam that Kaya drew forth to hover amongst them, "I shall speak first if I may," She spoke up with a smile to those around finally, deciding that she might go first to encourage the others to speak.
"There are many toils in my long life that I could speak on, I would count it as the many years of practice of flight that brought the grace you see when I fly through the city. Every moment of it from that first stumbling flight over one and a half centuries ago to my most recent flights aboard this vessel I have driven myself further and harder, the rewards are what many of you have seen and the joy that soars within each time I take wing."
no subject
"I have undergone a great many toils, as well. I would bear them all again for that which has been lost... or now, what I seek to restore. I can but continue on my path, whether or not there is any end to it, for the sake of my people."
Cryptic, perhaps. But it was a start.
