No One There To Tell Us What To Do [Team Kilo, Bendy-Timed for Pod-Pop Update]
Jonas stood alone on the Observation Deck, quietly staring up at the statue as he waited for the arrival of his new teammates. He wasn't entirely sure why he had been named the team leader, but he was capable of the position when it came down to it; and so he wanted to deal with the potential problems before they became actual problems.
First off, he needed to talk with Gambit and Spider-Man, and make sure they weren't going to have any difficulties with his leadership. They were both adults after all, and Spider-Man was...Spider-Man. After that was dealt with, he needed to meet the rest of the team and get an idea of their skills and temperament. He already had a head start, as he knew and had already worked with Kate and Cassie.
But, first things first: Gambit and Spider-Man.

But, first things first: Gambit and Spider-Man.

Remy's smile fell away as he glanced around the room, seemingly astonished. "Well, dis not de entrance Gambit had in mind."
no subject
"[Spider-Man should be here shortly,]" he said. "[I wanted to talk to the both of you before the rest of the team arrived.]" He stepped toward Gambit and held out a hand to shake. "[I am the Vision.]"

He lands with a barely audible patter and folds his arms, "Sup guys, what's the haps?"
no subject
"[No, it does not. I am a Young Avenger, and I have installed the appropriate fail-safes to avoid the mistakes made by my predecessor.]"
Spider-Man seemed uninterested in shaking hands at the moment, so Jonas merely gestured. "[Gambit, this is Spider-Man. Spider-Man, Gambit.]" He lowered his hands down to his sides. "[I wanted to speak with the two of you on the subject of the leadership of Team Kilo.]" Jonas paused and waited for them to react.
no subject
"Who's Kilo?" he turns back to Vision, stretching a hand about two feet above his own head, "Yay-high? Nefarious evildoer goatee? Forehead that seems to have aged faster than the rest of his face?"
Evidently he's talking about Worf.

He looked at both of them for a moment. "[I have been named the leader. Hence the need for discussion.]"
no subject
no subject
No. No, he's not joking.
no subject
"[I assure you, this will not interfere with your extra-curricular activities,]" Jonas said smoothly. "[I am well aware that you prefer to work alone. I am also personally aware that you are more than capable of working with others, which is all I intend to ask of you.]" That done, he turned to Gambit. "[I am much less familiar with you and, as such, simply request that you refrain from subverting my authority, at the very least.]"
He crossed his arms. "[I also ask that you both trust that I have the best interests of the team in mind, and keep that in mind when I ask you to do something.]"
Yes, he fully expected them to fight him every step of the way. And he had no intention of focusing energy on a fight like that when, perhaps, the other members of the team were hanging in the balance.

"It's not my capacity for working with others that's usually the problem, bub." He retorts, entirely deadpan.
no subject
Well, they appeared to be agreeable. He'd have to see how they behaved during team exercises, but hopefully he could take them at their word. "[Are there any other concerns that either of you would like to voice before I call the rest of the team?]"

He then turns to Gambit and grins under the mask. It goes unseens, "I'm with you, bud. I hear it's Sixteen Candles tonight."
It isn't, he's just going to coerce them into watching it anyway.
no subject
"[I will call the rest of the team.]"

Most of them were on his team back home, but he was unfamiliar with Yuri Otani and Rei Hino. Hopefully, they wouldn't have any objections to his leadership either.

The next was a much more relaxed looking guy in some kind of black bodysuit. His body language and tone were jocular.
The third was Gambit-ojiisan, who got a little wave and a smile.
The last time she was forced to be on a 'team' it caused her no small amount of trauma, so she was a little trepidatious, but she was trying to rearrange her view on these things. Most people had been nice to her so far, after all...
"Hi, ah, i'm Yuri Otani." She says with a nervous little bow, hands clasped in front of her.
no subject
Resolving to make the best of the situation and start on an agreeable foot, she plunges in. "My name is Rei Hino. I'll be serving with you as well", she adds unnecessarily, bowing to the group.
no subject
"Hey, I didn't miss the party did I?" She grinned, and waved to all of them.
no subject
no subject
"Sorry I'm late.. would you believe I got lost?" He looked over to Jonas and grinned brightly. "Hey Viz."
no subject
"Here." She said softly, not even bothering to try offering an excuse. Being broody and weepy generally wasn't a good one.
no subject
"[It is a pleasure to meet you,]" he said politely. "[I am the Vision, Stacy has named me leader of Team Kilo. I apologize for putting off this meeting so long.]"
Right off the bat, he could tell that they were going to need to come up with a rotation for people to keep an eye on Yuri. Cassie was young even for the Young Avengers, but Yuri didn't even look as if she had reached puberty yet.
He smiled a bit at Billy's explanation. "[I would, actually. I believe Danny Fenton is the ships cartographer, there is probably a map on the omnicom. You have received your omnicom already, correct?]"
Cassie was, of course, a little more concerning. He drifted over to stand near her, and looked around the room.
"[Now that we're all here, I believe introductions may be in order. As I said, and most of you are already familiar with, I am the Vision. Essentially, I am a human in a synthetic body; and my powers include density alteration, technological interfacing, holographic projection, and minor shape shifting.]"
He gestured for someone else do to the same.
no subject
"Cassie Lang aka Stature. I can grow and shrink. And I know kung fu." That was supposed to be a joke, movie reference and all, but it wasn't delivered very well. "Hand to hand combat training, marksmanship but no where near as good as my friend here." She gestured to Kate.
She had wanted to go for leadership training too but Stark sucked.
no subject
Funny, when back home she was the team leader's girlfriend. Hey, who knows what might happen if Eli ever wakes up? Though she's not sure where they would be then.
She then said, "I know I've met you all before, didn't get a chance to explain to Yuri here though. I'm Kate Bishop, also Hawkeye. I know archery, martial arts, swordfighting, and fencing." She then glanced over to Billy.
no subject
"I can't do anything special but Borg...ah..." She steps back to a safe distance from everyone else. "Ok Borg." His mouth opens wide, pink tongue with green saliva whipping out. His 'wings' flare out and from their bottom edge emerges dozens of what can only be described as drill-tentacles, they whip around her in a blur, forming a deadly, metallic matrice. She's not as coordinated as Kumi or Kasumi so she doesn't feel comfortable moving while this happens, but it's still an impressive display. When he's shown what he can do, Borg retracts his wings and drilltacles.
no subject
"Right. As I said, my name is Rei Hino. I've been building my archery skills with Kate, and I can use this"---she holds up her transformation pen for a moment---"to activate my other power. I summon small bursts of fire and fling them. My hand-to-hand combat isn't up to par with many of the others, but I know how to get out of the way."

"De name's Gambit," he said, pulling an Ace of Spades from his brown duster and holding it up. There was a flash of bright pink light as a burst of energy surged through the playing card, charging it.
"And I'm a mutant," he finished, tossing the card over everyone's heads to an unoccupied area of the Obs Deck where it exploded in mid-air.
no subject
"Well I'm Billy Kaplan. Wiccan. I'm a mutant, and well... I have powers no one really understands. But I can do some pretty cool things with lightning."
no subject
He definitely wanted to talk with both of them privately later, to get a better idea of what they could do. Perhaps one-on-one sparring sessions?
"[Does anyone have any questions for me or for each other? I also welcome any ideas you have about how to make this team function as efficiently as possible. If not, would you prefer for us to get to know each other through talking or sparring?]"
no subject
"Well, seeing as there are a few of us from the same world... I know it'd help me a bit if I knew what the last thing everyone remembered. I know I talked to Kate after arriving about everything..." He didn't know if he WANTED to be the one to tell Spider-Man that his greatest enemy was now ruling America.
no subject
"[I believe that Gambit and Spider-Man are from points preceding the four of us,]" he said. "[And I know that Stature and Hawkeye were taken from points after I was.]" He looked over and Gambit and Spider-Man. "[Would you two care to share?]"
no subject
Then, he makes a very obvious aside to Rei and Yuri, miming a chatting mouth with his fingers, "Superteams."
And back to the group, "Just when I thought I was finally off that rock I woke up in my birthday suit here."
