Well unfortunately, there wasn't much choice in that, was there? She couldn't exactly go leaving her crewmates to get killed, could she? Even if they were stupid enough to get themselves into trouble in the first place. Though this girl had a weapon, and that certainly counted for something.

She didn't have much time to aim, but she threw the energy weapon up high enough to avoid hitting the girl on the ground. A pulse of energy rocked her nearly off balance (recoil was something she kind of still had to get used to) but it blasted into the upper half of the robot.

Rachel grinned as she recovered and charged forward. The big gun was something she could get used to.
