Revulsion overtook Nima - and consequently Azula.

For a moment, she was dizzy. She was nauseous. She took a step, trying to regain her peace in the face of the images of death in her head.

You would do that?

Her affection for Aang - My brother my friend my Avatar my - rose up, and Nima latched onto them, using them to flood out her feelings of discomfort.

She lingered just a little too long over the image, suddenly hungry for images of the little boy Aang had been when he'd been thrown, alone, into a destiny he was not ready for. The Aang she didn't know - the one without any of his elders and friends to guide him when he'd needed guidance most.

You would do that? And it would bring you joy?

The urge to weep overtook Nima - not just for Aang, for his courage facing this terrible enemy, for his solitude that no Air Nomad before him had ever had to endure - but for Azula, as well. With it came pity.

You poor girl. No wonder you're so afraid. You have so much to be afraid of.

Karma was going to ruin her.

Perhaps it already had.
