Aye, well, I needed to think of something, now didn't I? he retorts. Then her dislike of the mess hall washes over him. He's aware that she's not any fonder of the place than he is normally, but feeling her emotions makes it that much more real to him - and easier for him to agree with her. But yes, the Sensoriums are closer.

If he's going to be honest with both of them, closer is probably better anyway. As they start to move out the door and down the stairs to leave the house, he sets himself to trying to trying to figure out when she would normally move when she is walking. It's not as easy as it seems. Given the height difference between them - and the fact she doesn't stride in quite the same way he does - walking in her body is considerably different than what he's used to.

Even so, he starts to get the hang of it, although it's certainly ungainly and they have to take the stairs very very slowly to avoid tumbling down them. However, the longer they're stuck like this, it seems that things are starting to come a little easier. Maybe if he doesn't try to fight for control, eventually they'll be able to move much more normally.

Right. So if we can get to the tram, that'll take us to the tubes and then we should be able to get there soon. Maybe we'll run into someone else on the way that can help, too. Are ye ready to go outside, then?
