It was just a normal, typical day in the Sensoriums. Nothing odd was conjured at the moment, just a single room with a big glowing red and white target.

In this room, Einhart stood, Vivio right next to her. She didn’t know exactly what was going on, other than Vivio had had some sort of idea for a magical technique that for some reason needed two people to use. Einhart wasn’t sure how useful something like this was going to actually be because of that, but well, Vivio had pleaded enough for her to help out that she couldn’t exactly say no.

So that’s why they were both here, standing in front of the target.

“Okay, we’re all ready!” Vivio said, beaming at Einhart as she moved to grab the other girl’s hands with hers. “Now, we’re going to have to keep our hands clasped like this and concentrate, firing off the blast at the target there.”

Einhart blushed, but did as Vivio said as she sunk down a bit to ground herself and make sure she didn’t go flying. “And we’re supposed to will our blast into a corkscrew, right?”

“Yeah, yeah! Exactly!” Vivio shouted. “Come on, let’s do it!”

Well, it was no or never. Einhart took a deep breath and concentrated focusing her magic into her hand that wasn’t holding Vivio’s as Vivio sunk down into a similar stance.

“3...”

Pale green and rainbow magic started to form around the girl’s hands, the two balls of magic quickly growing and very nearly pressing against each other.

Einhart still wasn’t sure where Vivio had come up with this idea.

“2...”

Vivio didn’t tell Einhart where she got the idea for a really good reason.

“1...”

After all, if she mentioned that she got the idea from watching magical girl anime, Einhart would’ve never agreed to try it out.

“Fire!”

And with that, both little girls fired their magic off, willing it to form into a corkscrewing blast together as it fired.

And completely missed it’s target, as the two of them trying to corkscrew it together made it so that their aim was completely off. That, and the sheer power of the two of their blasts actually sent both girls flying off their feet, headed towards the door and towards whoever was going to open it at that very moment.

Negi, in his adult form, was just coming into the sensoriums to get a workout when the pair literally crashed into him and he went down like a ton of bricks. "OOF!" he exclaimed, falling over with two girls in his arms.

"What the...? Einhart? Vivio?"

Einhart blinked, blushing a bit when she realized that she and Vivio and fallen on top of something. A guy. Wait, she knew him. Somewhat... right, Negi, wasn't it?

Either way, that blast had been, well, way too powerful the control. She and Vivio were going to have to work on that. "Umm... hi."

That... that wasn't what she was expecting! It was supposed to have been smooth, easy to handle and able to kill bad guys dead. Instead, they've been blown out of the room and... on top of Negi.

"Oh! N-Negi-kun!" Vivio stammered. "Ah... s-sorry..."

"Urgh," replied Negi. "It's okay, I'm just surprised that's all."

Sitting up with both girls in his arms, he chuckled. "Trying out something new?"

Einhart nodded, looking over at Negi and blushing a bit more, before turning to Vivio. "I think you might need to rethink how that attack works..."

That was a bit of an understatement. At the very least they needed to figure out how to get the power to actually, well, work right.

"I... I guess I do..." Vivio admitted, sighing. "But, yeah. We were. Y-You see, I found an anime in the Media Library - a show about two fighting magical girls - and they had an awesome attack they did together! I wanted to see if we could mimic here, but..."

Needs work. Big time.

"Sounds like you need to root yourselves first before trying it. How much power did you throw into it?" inquired Negi, already thinking of how it could be improved.

What?

That couldn't have been what Vivio said, could it?

It took her a few moments, but she was finally able to speak.

"Umm... well, I guess it worked. We could mimic it. Technically."

She turned her attention to Negi. "As for power, well... I did a normal bombardment spell level of power."

"Divine Buster for me." Vivio said, almost nonchalantly.

"Hmm, that would be about equal then," said Negi, rubbing his chin. "Timing was the same?"

Einhart nodded, not saying anything as she wiggled around a bit, trying to get out of Negi's arms.

"Uh-huh..." Vivio uttered, nodding.

Realizing he was holding onto them, Negi let go and blushed a little as he let them stand up before getting up himself. "So the point would be grounding then. Combining attacks like that would require you to set up some kind of method to hold yourselves down and not get blown backwards."

Einhart made it to her feet, looking over at Negi. "That makes sense. Do you have any ideas?"

"A small binding spell to hold us in place? A barrier behind us?" Vivio mused. "Just need something to brace us..."

"If you put down a reinforced gravity spell as the set up spell..."

Moving forward, he chanted a few words and a pattern settled around him. "Try pushing me over. I think this should be enough."

Einhart blinked, before moving over to Negi and trying to shove him out of the spell pattern he had set up.

Vivio did the same, wondering if she could do the same and thinking that if it worked, they'd have it set!

Not surprisingly, he didn't budge, his feet just barely moving. "Yeah I think this'll work. I've increased the pull of gravity on myself. I think if I teach this to you guys, it shouldn't be too hard should it?"

Einhart shook her head, smiling a bit. "No, this shouldn't be too difficult to learn at all. It's not like gravity increasing spells are that unusual."

"Nuh-uh! It shouldn't be too hard at all!" Vivio replied, shaking her head as well. Already in her mind, she was visualizing the way things would work out.

"That's good! I'll set you guys up with the spell incantation then. I can do it quickly but I think that's what you need to. Just a short burst." laughed Negi.

Einhart moved back a bit. "Alright. I'm ready when both of you are."

Vivio did the same, nodding. "Ready!"

"All right then!" Falling into his usual routine of teaching, he repeated the spell for them, showing them just what they needed to do. "You want to lay it down in tandem, so that you've got the same reinforcement going on."

Einhart looked over at Negi, making sure to keep her attention on him as he explained everything. She nodded, signifying that she understood about that. It made sense after all.

"All that's left now is for us to try to gravity spell first..."

"Mmn." Vivio uttered, nodding. Without a second thought, Vivio turned back around and went into the Sensoriums once more, determined to get it right.

Negi followed, intent on watching this. This should prove to be interesting.

Einhart nodded, following after the two of them and going back to where the two of them had tried the spell the first time, waiting for Vivio to come back to her.

Rejoining Einhart where they tried the spell the first time, she nodded at the girl and held out her hand.

"Alright, we do the same thing we did before, but we put the new spell down first." Vivio said. "You ready?"

Negi grinned as he watched them at work. Determined friends he had. "That's right."

Einhart nodded, grabbing Vivio's hand. "I'm ready," she said. "We'll put down the gravity spell in, well, three... two..."

She concentrated, already preparing the spell and waiting for the moment when she and Vivio would need to do that.

"Now!"

Giving Einhart's hand a slight squeeze as she put down the gravity spell and went into a bracing stance, hand extended.

Negi nodded. "Good, the grounding spell is in place. Give it another try then."

Einhart nodded, concentrating as she started gathering magic in her hand, before starting another countdown.

Vivio did the same, following the same countdown before...

"Einhart, NOW!" she shouted, firing off another burst of magical energy, intending on spiraling it with her friend's.

Einhart followed Vivio's lead, sending out her blast of energy as well, trying to concentrate on having it spiral with Vivio's.

Thankfully, this time she managed to get it to spiral with her friend's magic without too much problem.

Except for the part where it started circling around the three of them instead of going straight over towards where they were aiming.
