Strike Without Meaning [Open]

Alendian knelt in a large, flat, and obstacleless area - one she had created for this sensorium trial. Robed and without armor, she had a long rifle in her hands. Slowly, she plinked away at incoming targets far, far out in the distance. Metal machines with weapons that glowed a bright green. No, there was no danger since she had set them to just march forth. No attacks, no weapons blazing. Just mindless machines. Mindless so she could keep her own mind wandering while knocking off head after head on the metallic skeletal creatures known as Necrons.

For Alaitoc Eldar, what she was doing was wrong. She was using a weapon and skills she had gained on a previous path in life but Alendian wasn't quite known for her rule following. Still, she was forced to wonder how much the situation had changed from home. Was this the right thing? Was making use of what she knew really going to cause problems on a scale larger than she could view? Alendian had it in mind to ask the Farseer but she wasn't from Alaitoc. Just as Alendian couldn't understand why the Biel-tan were so aggressive, the Farseer would probably have trouble understanding why those from Alaitoc were so strict.

It probably wouldn't hurt to ask in the end.

With a barely audible noise, another shot left the rifle and pinged into a head of yet another Necron. Releasing a sigh, she realized it was going to be a long day.

Ah. Necrons. Servants of the C'Tan. ANd here was the only other Eldar on board, carefully blowing them apart with shots from a longrifle. Ildraniath watched impassively for a few minutes and then finally stepped forward to crouch next to Alendian. She'd never taken the path of the wanderer when she younger. She'd stayed aboard the craftworld, honed her skills and had once walked the path of the warrior.

"Revisiting an old ally?"

Ah, euphemisms.

"It is... unusual, but I see nothing wrong with using the memories and experiences of your past life to aid you in the now. The point of walking the Path of the Warrior is to learn how to control your anger. The Path of the Wanderer to slake your wanderlust and restlessness. If we could not learn, we would not survive."

Slightly unorthodox, but Ulthwe tended to care more about results.

"I would rather not find out the difficult way," Ildraniath replied, "It is best to be cautious when it comes to Her. Letting your guard down could prove disastrous - so I will continue my vigilance and I would suggest you do the same."

Ildraniath dipped her head in a nod, "Of course."

She looked up, meeting Alendian's gazed. There was a distant coldness in her eyes and voice, "Do whatever you must do to preserve the future for the Eldar race. I sanction it."

"I know that they are and were the enemies of the Old Ones and that we scoured them from the galaxy eons ago. And that they are mostly dormant now. I know that we oppose them where ever they appear, even at the cost of others," Ildraniath shrugged, "My main concern was Her, never them, I'm afraid."
