Another day, another patrol; by now, Zouichi was accustomed to the layout of the ship, and though nothing in particular seemed to be amiss (well, beyond the ordinary conflicts and problems, of course), he dutifully canvassed what areas he was assigned. His bike ran smoothly and quietly, and using it to get around made things a little easier. On the occasions when riding wasn't an option, however, he'd simply sling it over his shoulder and carry it along (that was what the handle was for).

He stopped to chat with people he ran into along the way, but at the end of the ride, he found himself wandering about in an area of the City he'd not yet visited. Which is how he ran into the Parthenon, not a crumbled ruin as it had been in his own time, but fully restored (or perhaps it had simply not yet had time to fall into disrepair). He looked up at the stone structure, curious. A relic of a time when people believed in divine beings as patrons of their cities.

"Are you kidding? Chocolate or food cubes, hmm, I don't know..." John pretended like he was weighing the options with his hands. Or throw in Stacy food puke while they were at it but at that point he was gonna run out of hands here. "Though I might take you up on that if I can't find anything. Thanks for offering a place to crash."

John grinned at him. He had no idea who "Howard" was, but at this point he figured roomie or boyfriend, seeing as they probably worked past that being an issue with superhumans in the far and distance future. For all he knew, Zouichi was equal opportunity between hot alien babes and guys; you know, like Kirk (don't tell him there wasn't something weird when Spock gave him a massage that one episode).

He nodded. "Chocolate is all right, I guess. A little too sweet. Strawberries are better." Quick, no one tell him about chocolate-covered strawberries.

Zouichi felt a disturbance in the Force, as if a million voices had cried out at once, and were suddenly silenced wasn't particularly picky about choosing women over men. Howard wasn't his type at all, though. Too... Howardy.

"Anyway, I should probably be going. Good luck with the search."

Zouichi, you health nut. Not that strawberries weren't up there too and now John had a sudden craving for strawberries - when was even the last time he'd had strawberries?

Remind John to ask what "too Howardy" meant. Or maybe he'd find out eventually and there was no point ruining the surprise, which was really just another way of letting him find out on his own because words just won't do the kid justice. Something like that. John nodded, giving Zouichi a wave.
