Memories Can't Be Identically Replayed [Open]

It's been a few weeks or so since Ted had pop dropped, and admittedly he was feeling a lot more better than he had woken up. Though since his encounter with that old man, something had piqued his curiosity; which was the Sensoriums. After awhile, looking around and the like, he manage to learn that the special thing about this room was to create a field base on the user's mind, or something like that.

Upon entering the Sensorium, he tried poking around and make a particular memory of his playing back.

Suddenly, the room's lighting turned dark as the scenery suddenly shift into an empty alleyway, judging by the buildings, it was something akin to old, rundown alleys from the murkier areas of a town. On the end of the alleyway, there lies another kid, probably no older than the blond, however the child appearance seemed off. The manic look, the cackling and, of course, the glow on the child's hand. Next to the manic-looking child was an adult roughly around his mid-twenties, he looked like the average white-collared business man. In his hands were however a strange, copper-colored book, shining brightly on it's own. Unlike his partner, the man seems mildly uninterested on the scene that's soon to unfold.

"Perfect," the blond muttered, the memory was almost exactly recreated, sans particular details.

Without any hesitation, Ted charge forward and threw the first punch at the strange child. By the impact, the child was sent flying a few feat away. The other quickly got back to their feat, albeit a slightly battered despite being only attacked once. Angrily, they commanded their partner to fire a spell, they held out their hand, ready to fire the spell at Ted. Too easy, he made a swift turn and ran forward again, this time landing a heavy hit on his opponent's stomach. The child was soon on their knees, clutching to their stomach and muttering at disbelieve how someone 'without a bookkeeper' had mobilize them so quickly within two attacks.

Ted sighed, "way too easy," the room then turned back to it's original state. He was positive that his opponent would be strong as he imagined they would, or perhaps it was because he had the Sensoriums to be almost exact as his memories. The blond put a hand on his chin and thought to himself, if the case was the latter, then perhaps he really wasn't weak despite not having Jeed around to recite his spells.

Whatever the case was, during the whole ordeal, he left the door opened and the demon child was in deep thought to notice anyone should someone came in this time around.

"Okay, battling Pokemon. Whatever." It's not as if Howard doesn't know how quickly a skirmish between kids can turn deadly, but using books to cast spells? Is this something out of The Pagemaster?

"Right. The demon kid. Sounds like a title people would love to battle for." He folds his arms and looks around. "Memory?"

"I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday. Of course there's a world with demons. Why wouldn't there be?" He does a little twirl, proving that he can use his whole body to be sarcastic. "Awesome multiverse we're in. If you can imagine it, it exists."

"That's not what I meant. What I meant is, with a multiverse this crazy why wouldn't there be a world with demons? I nearly got hugged by a talking pink pony the other day and I barely blinked."

"They didn't lock you up or anything, did they?" He looks Ted up and down.

"Coyotes, where I'm from. I mean, in terms of animals that can talk." Howard shrugs. He really doesn't like the coyotes.

"So what, you were homeless?" Scruffy as this city looks, it's a far cry better than what Perdido looked like last time Howard saw it six months ago. Or so. However long he's been here.

No problem! You were busy!

"The human world? As opposed to what, Mars?"

As much as Ted wouldn't admit that, if he did they'd probably find remarkable common ground. In a tragic way. "Sounds like it. I never got to travel. Your partner here?"
iselldrugstothecommunity: (Calm and thoughtful for once.)

"My partner's sort of like that too, only he drinks instead of smokes. Probably still asleep, though. Stacy's trying to teach me a lesson in patience." And maybe in self-sufficiency. Life's a lot different when there's no one to lean on. "So what's your name?"
iselldrugstothecommunity: (My default state is mild paranoia.)

"Pretty much. Or, you know, not having a partner with bad habits because of the snot pods."

Howard's glad Ted doesn't try to shake his hand. That's generally uncomfortable. "Howard Bassem. I work in medical."
