Pods, Heat, and the Hawk's Eye [Open]
Ankh's first concern was gathering information about this place; the hawk candroid was already flying around where it would and he'd follow it to anything useful later. His next concern then, was returning to the pod caverns. It would be easier to do after all the new crew members had settled, and so he had to wait, no matter how pissed off it made him.
Still, now he got the chance to return. The air was still horrible; he still felt like he was going to choke or explode and he still didn't know why he was so bothered by it, he had spent a year in a human body already, damnit! And that just made him angrier which made him more frustrated which just reminded him how frikkin' hot in here it was. Wearing the damn suit sure didn't help. Nevermind, he'd be sick about it later.
Right now, Ankh was perched on the spiral walkway, staring down at the cavern of pods. He seemed to be staring off into space, but he was actually just concentrating very hard; he had set to work who knows how long ago, using his Hawk vision to scan the pods for any sign of a certain handful of individuals.
They had to be here. There's no way he and that stupid cat'd be around and they wouldn't. They were too dumb to get themselves killed just like that. Not like that.
Yet there was no sign of them. Was his Hawk vision failing him? It never had before. Everything was red, but there was....static. He was used to seeing static, but not with Hawk vision, and not like that. And he certainly shouldn't have had Greeed vision right now.
This was ridiculous. His Greeed arm had long since encased the human arm out of mounting frustration, and he was tightening his fist so hard that he probably would've bruised something by now if it wasn't for the arm. He gave a yell; Nothing. Ankh turned away from the pods and violently whipped his arm forward to point and shoot a blaze of fire at the ground. He didn't care if this place was alive, or if he'd get in trouble, he had been searching for hours and come up dry.
And after his minor fit he was just standing there, breathing heavily, glaring at nothing in particular, and remembering how sick this stupid ship made him.

Sitting on a higher level of the walkway, Caz watched with mild confusion as Ankh pitched his usual temper tantrum, but the nature of what the hell he was looking for was the puzzling part. OOOs? Why? Ankh had said it himself- he didn't need OOOs to fight if he was at 'full' power. Maybe to eliminate him before he awoke...?
Regardless of the whys and the whats, Cazali remained seated, watching and making no motion to make his presence known. Not that he was being particularly stealthy, but he'd let Ankh work to figure out he was here.

He turned back towards the pods as if to keep searching, when the Hawk Can came flying past Cazali and down towards Ankh giving a few robotic squawks hat led him to immediately jerk his head up towards Caz's location.
"--Hey! What the hell are you doing here?!" Code for: gtfo.
keyword is totally relevant
"Hanging out~"
...he couldn't help that one, seriously. Cazali shifted, rolling his head for emphasis, before gesturing out at the cavern. "My offer still stands~ You know I'm a better tracker than you are."
i'm revoking your punning license
"Screw off! I'm not so stupid that I'm going to fall for that! We both know you're not really here to help, so get out of here!"
He might've still been a little angry. Just maybe.
/i never had one brah/
"Do you want to find them now, or do you want to be stubborn~? You were the one that pointed out how I can't do much against you, and..." A sigh, and a genuinely disgusted look. "I'd rather deal with you then the rest of this organ-infested ship."
i'm having you arrested for illegal punination. prepare for punishment.
Ankh kept his gaze trained and Cazali, glaring all the while. He was still breathing a bit heavily and his disposition didn't seem any more calmer than when Cazali had last seen him.
He scoffed, "Touching. Unfortunately, I want nothing to do with you. While you may be reluctant to deal with the humans around here, I would rather put up with them than have to make any sort of deal with you." He gestured a bit towards Cazali with his Greeed arm. "What do you get out of it? There's no way you'd offer without expecting something in return." And he highly doubted the dumb cat just wanted the pleasure of his company.

POT, MEET KETTLE"Oh, don't worry- we've been through your preference for humans once before. I tried that out too, remember~? But things always work out so much better for you, somehow~"Bitter? Naaah.
"Why do I need to get anything out of it? Not being 'killed' would be nice, but~ I know when my number's up." A sigh, and he leaned against the railing, arms crossed. "I'm looking for someone too, actually. You really shouldn't be surprised, Ankh."

"Hmph. Looking for that Doctor?" There was scorn in his voice, but given his anger, it might not have had as much of an effect as he wanted. He did seem to loosen up a bit though; knowing that he had something over Cazali was enough.
"Sorry. I'm not offering." And he turned away to stare off into the caverns again, presumably resuming his search if only so he had an excuse to ignore the other Greeed.

"Oh, don't misunderstand, Ankh~" Caz tucked his arms behind his head, boneless as ever. "I'm not looking to start trouble, or wake him up for anything." Though killing that scumbag sack of meat and medals would be so satisfying- "I'm simply concerned he might have brought those medals with him." His face was grave at that. "And I think it's in our best interest to find that out."
He wouldn't bring up OOOs for once- he wanted to actually get somewhere, after all. "I may be the weak one here~ But remember where I was before that. Those damn medals don't mean anything good for either of us."

"Stuuuupid."

A bird that was...insulting him. Not, exactly what he wanted nor expected when he came here. He started calming down just by the sheer confusion of that-is-a-bird-and-it-is-insulting-him. "What...the hell..?!"
no subject
This last was said in a female voice. Lash's voice, but maybe Ankh wouldn't know to recognize that.

After a moment of staring in bewilderment, Ankh had switched to glaring slightly at the bird. "Huh. Get out of here, you freak," and he attempted to wave the bird away with his right hand.

"Oh... hello. I didn't think there was anyone in here."

"...It's fine," He finally relented warily, eyeing the guy before turning his attention back to the pods. "What do you want?"
He's still watching you, bird.

"--Oh." He was a bit stalled by the fact that she wasn't a bird. "None of your business."
no subject
Look, a compliment!

Ankh followed her pointing to his right hand and held it up for examination, quirking an eyebrow at her question. "No," He answered simply, and he extended his hand out to the side to shoot another burst of fire into the air from his fingertips.
no subject
She did grin at the sight of the fire exploding from his hand, however. "Oh, that's no laser, but fire is pretty neat. I mean, the whole burning your enemies and all that, tee hee hee!"
Yes, you were now stuck with her. Congratulations.
no subject
Her excitement was...amusing? Interesting? Or something, at the least, and Ankh flicked his hand a bit and lowered his arm again. "Yeah it's...useful." Not sure how to reply here.
"...Who are you, anyway?" And are you sure there's no way to be unstuck from her?
no subject
"Name's Lash," she replied, the smile not leaving her lips. "Ex-Black Hole Wunderkind Genius which doesn't mean anything on the ship anyway." She give him a tiny shrug.
"You must be new around here. I would have noticed a guy with a flaming arm waaay before!"
no subject
Wunderkind...? Ankh looked at Lash with scrutiny for a minute, both wondering what the word meant and recalling that the parrot had used it before. Hm....
"Yeah, I'm new. Ankh," He said curtly. He didn't exactly like admitting that he didn't know much about what was going on around here.
