Cataclysm and the Aftermath [Closed/Open - Read OOC Note]

Rin's arrival unto Stacy had been well received for the most part. He easily overlooked things, didn't notice others, and his usual naive/oblivious demeanor kept him unfocused and uninterested as far as the details of their current predicament were. To him, this just seemed like a weird, new themed attraction, then he learned that they were in some war with another group of people who needed help. To someone like Rin, all he needed was the basest of information and he'd do what needs to be done...

But today, Yukio had called him into one of those sensorium things, to talk to Rin about something important and to finally give him that iPad looking thing that he had taken away from him when they first arrived. Blackie tagged along of course, always curious as to everything that was going on in a place such as this...

After the news, and the massive outburst that happened with his brother in the Sensoriums, one could say that Rin had gotten over it quickly. At least on the outside... He walked the long streets of the City, hands in his pockets and head down, it almost seemed as if he was heading nowhere in particular. Truth was, he was brooding on everything that had been finally relayed to him. He had lost EVERYTHING... and had it not been for his brother and Blackie... he would have ended up turning full demon and who knows what kind of damage he would have caused to the ship until they finally took him down.

What was he supposed to do now? The obvious answer was to help with this new war... He just wasn't feeling up to it just yet. Everything that had weighed on him previously in Assiah, Shiro's death, the Exorcist academy, the war with Gehenna and Satan... it all just got multiplied immensely by all of this... Shura, Shiemi, Kimiki, Bon, Shima... everyone... everyone gone....

He clenched his fist, closing his eyes tightly and punched the side of the building closest to him, making the wall break and shatter. Rin jumped back and looked around alarmed, wondering if anyone had seen that and quickly walked away as if nothing had happened. It was silly, to hide his identity in this new place... but he had promised Yukio a long time ago, and he figured that this place wasn't any different until spotty four eyes told him to... For the most part...

[[OOC Note: The first cut is locked to Yukio; once Rin goes out into the City it's open to anyone. Keep in mind that Yukio will be following his brother, so feel free to approach either of them. Chances are, you'll be getting tagged by both, especially if you approach Rin since Yukio still doesn't trust the crew around him. Everyone and all CR is welcomed though!]]

"Nii-san!" the younger shoued out to his sibling. "Nii-san, don't--" He was cut off as those familiar blue flames roared to life and he found himself tumbling across the ground from the sheer force of their appearance.

When he came to a stop, Yukio reflexively raised an arm to protect his face from the debris that was picked up. His free hand shot out to grab Blackie and pull the (demonic) cat towards him.

"Nii-san," the brown-haired boy called out. "I wouldn't lie about something like this," he said with far more calm than he felt.

He gritted his teeth and quickly pushed himself from the ground, gaze focused on the fire obscuring his twin's form. It was exactly as he thought; Rin wasn't going to be able to control himself, not that he could blame him. His own emotions were in constant flux since they arrived.

Blackie darted by before he was able to get a word in. The demon would probably be able to hold his own, but not for long. At this very moment Yukio was at a loss of what to do. There was no way he could even think about getting nearby--he'd be burned before he closed half the distance.

With Rin pinned down (though he thought that would only be momentary), the brown-haired teen ran towards his sibling, but stopped short of the flames that bathed the boy. Already Rin's eyes began wavering with the sign that he was losing focus; losing a grip on himself.

Yukio's hand hovered over one of his pistols, though he was hesitant to withdraw the weapon. No, he wouldn't resort to that (this time). Not until he'd tried to stop his brother.

"Nii-san! Please get a hold of yourself; if you go berserk, there's no way you can save your friends! There's no way we can save Assiah!"

He was still doubtful about that whole 'restoring their worlds' bit, but he would believe what he had to right now.

"And so you'd kill the only family you have left? Look at what you did to Blackie!"

Yukio eyes flicked from the injured Blackie, back to his brother and he gritted his teeth in annoyance. Why was everything involving Rin so impossible all of the time? He hated this.

"Nii-san!!"

Even though he played the tough love game, Rin was his brother and he, himself was always the first one to be by his side in dire situations. This time was no different.

There was a desperate quickness to his step, one that had him kneeling next to Rin in two seconds, flat and immediately searching for the cause of his sudden collapse.

A sigh of relief escaped his lips, if only because it was nothing that serious. He would have to carry Rin somewhere where he could easily rest; the sensorium really was the best place for something like this. He didn't want to think what may have occurred if the news had been broken any other way.

His thoughts conjured up a bed in which he gently lay his twin; much more gently than he would ever let on while his brother was conscious. He wore a pained expression, one that he tried to wipe away with a brush of the back of his hand over his forehead. It was no use. He hadn't wanted to do this to Rin. He had to.

Now that he had tended to his brother, he needed to check on Blackie. Yukio wasn't surprised that the familiar was right beside him, and the look of concern written on the demon's face was enough to bring a reassuring smile to his own.

"He's just exhausted."

Yukio sat on the edge of the bed, a patient calm overcoming him. His gaze was fixated on his twin's motionless form for a few minutes as his mind hurried to catch up with the situation.

There was nothing else to do but wait, as frustrating as that prospect was. Rin and he still had so much to discuss...he only hoped that this wouldn't repeat itself, though he almost couldn't blame his brother if it did. Almost.
