Cataclysm and the Aftermath [Closed/Open - Read OOC Note]

Rin's arrival unto Stacy had been well received for the most part. He easily overlooked things, didn't notice others, and his usual naive/oblivious demeanor kept him unfocused and uninterested as far as the details of their current predicament were. To him, this just seemed like a weird, new themed attraction, then he learned that they were in some war with another group of people who needed help. To someone like Rin, all he needed was the basest of information and he'd do what needs to be done...

But today, Yukio had called him into one of those sensorium things, to talk to Rin about something important and to finally give him that iPad looking thing that he had taken away from him when they first arrived. Blackie tagged along of course, always curious as to everything that was going on in a place such as this...

After the news, and the massive outburst that happened with his brother in the Sensoriums, one could say that Rin had gotten over it quickly. At least on the outside... He walked the long streets of the City, hands in his pockets and head down, it almost seemed as if he was heading nowhere in particular. Truth was, he was brooding on everything that had been finally relayed to him. He had lost EVERYTHING... and had it not been for his brother and Blackie... he would have ended up turning full demon and who knows what kind of damage he would have caused to the ship until they finally took him down.

What was he supposed to do now? The obvious answer was to help with this new war... He just wasn't feeling up to it just yet. Everything that had weighed on him previously in Assiah, Shiro's death, the Exorcist academy, the war with Gehenna and Satan... it all just got multiplied immensely by all of this... Shura, Shiemi, Kimiki, Bon, Shima... everyone... everyone gone....

He clenched his fist, closing his eyes tightly and punched the side of the building closest to him, making the wall break and shatter. Rin jumped back and looked around alarmed, wondering if anyone had seen that and quickly walked away as if nothing had happened. It was silly, to hide his identity in this new place... but he had promised Yukio a long time ago, and he figured that this place wasn't any different until spotty four eyes told him to... For the most part...

[[OOC Note: The first cut is locked to Yukio; once Rin goes out into the City it's open to anyone. Keep in mind that Yukio will be following his brother, so feel free to approach either of them. Chances are, you'll be getting tagged by both, especially if you approach Rin since Yukio still doesn't trust the crew around him. Everyone and all CR is welcomed though!]]

Zouichi glanced at the blue flame, then back to Rin's face, studying his expression. "If it's a fight you're looking for, you'll find one soon enough. And at that time, more of the people here may lose their lives. I understand if you're frustrated... but there's a time and place to let your anger out."

"And if the Ohm destroy worlds not out of malice, but out of instinct? Or if it turns out they have motives beyond simply destroying everything in their path?" Zouichi would fight to his last breath against them, if required... but the recklessness of Rin's anger bothered him.

Yukio had been trailing behind Rin the entirety of the time; not to keep an eye on him, but to make sure he wasn't alone. He was in silent contemplation as Zouichi and his sibling spoke, arms hanging at his side. Even if his mind were elsewhere, he kept track of their conversation and stole glances at the two every once in awhile. It wasn't until Rin's heated words and the flicker of blue that lit up, that the brown-haired teen spoke.

A frown curved on his lips, but he didn't quite have the heart to chastise his brother so roughly, considering.

"Nii-san, please don't say such irresponsible things. All of these things take time, just like they did back home." Yukio regarded Zouichi with a sidelong glance. "If they do it out of instinct or different motives, the result will be the same."

He had little love for the actions and aspirations of demons and this wouldn't be any different.

So black-and-white. So easy to dismiss that there might be two sides -- or more -- to this war. But he supposed it would be easier that way. Better to see the other side as a faceless monster, bent on destroying all you cared about than trouble yourself with questions about how similar the two of you really are.

Zouichi shrugged. "Maybe when you're more acquainted with the way our allies treat us, you'll have a different opinion. War kills people on all sides, innocent or not. And we only know of this war what the Daligig and the ship have told us." He gave them a polite nod, then went on his way. He didn't really think he could get through to Rin at the moment anyway.
