Alanna returned the smile, glad that Elisa was being so understanding on the matter. "Thank you. I certainly appreciate the help and I definitely agree that it would be best to avoid trouble for now. No reason to invite it when it's so easy to avoid."

So, definitely not like a bow then. The only mechanism for a bow was to draw the string and arrow back to gain enough force to launch it. It sounded a little bit more like a crossbow, but even that didn't seem quite right.

"Well, it's certainly interesting," the young knight said softly, eying the weapon carefully. "It's definitely not a weapon that I've seen or used before. If it wouldn't be too much of an inconvenience, I'd love to see it in action when it would safer to do so. I assume that this place must have some place for us to train safely." She hoped so at least. Letting her skills falter due to a lack of practice seemed an excellent way to get herself killed in a fight. "It certainly seems large enough to have a training area of some sort anyway and if they expect us to fight then I can't imagine that they'd give us no opportunity to keep in fighting shape."
