"Well, I'm glad that you're well," Alanna said with a grin. All the while though, she inspected the woman curiously, trying to see if there was anything that she could piece together from the stranger's appearance. It wasn't wise to rely too much on physical appearance when it came to assessing others, but there were things that could be learned from looking at a person's stance and the way they presented themselves to others. "Is it different seeing it from the other side? Goddess, it's certainly confusing enough on my end!"
Alanna jerked in surprise to hear this stranger mention her brother's name like that. The violet eyes that were of such interest to Sandry widened and then narrowed as the Lioness's thoughts raced. How did this girl know her brother? The newcomer spoke of him with enough formality that it seemed unlikely that they were friends, although she wouldn't write off the possibility. But she also heard nothing in the young woman's tone that set off warning bells and she saw no reason not to be honest. It wasn't a secret, after all. "Thom is my brother," she answered cautiously, watching the young woman carefully. "And you are?"
