Those who saw Shoutarou when he was on the hunt before for Wakka's ball might note a somewhat similar look in his eyes this time - but a great deal more focused. He's out for information, and is once again combing the ship, but there's a greater urgency in his actions and his words.

In fact, he's skipping introductions for the most part. If he sees you're not too busy, he'll all but grab you - "If you're free, I'd like to ask you some questions."

"Have you noticed any... Unusual activity by any of the people on the ship?" A vague question, but for the time being, Shou had no especially narrowing leads.

"Unusual?"

He tapped a finger to his chin, trying to recall if anything he'd seen lately gave him pause or a second glance. "I don't think so. Any kind of behavior in specific? 'Unusual' is a little general to go by."

"People acting odd. Going odd places, seeming like they're hiding something."

"Hmm. I haven't seen anything really weird," he said, though he still strained his mind to try and recall anything, just in case. "Why? Is something going on?" Maybe getting a better idea of why someone would be acting strange would help.

"If you've been looking at the comms lately, I'm looking into the situation with the fellow being held somewhere on-ship and his friend. Looking for leads on who might be holding them."

"Yeah ... I've caught some of that," he responded with a frown. "I wish Stacy could help us with pinpointing his location. Have you found out anything, yet?"

There was a nod from the man. "Would definitely save a lot of time if she could just tell us. I've got a little bit to go on, but not much. It's frustrating, to say the least."

"What does the little bit consist of?" he asked. "Maybe that'll help narrow things down, even a little bit."

There was a slight side-to-side glance before the detective stooped down to get on Jr's level. His tone is a bit more quiet than before.

"Can you keep what I'm gonna bring up on the down-low, on the off-chance that this lead turns out to be a dud?"

"Yeah, sure, of course." He gave Shoutarou a small, reassuring smile. "I know how careful you've gotta be with these things."

Shoutarou nods, then pulls out his omnicomm, showing Jr. the note file he had - the information consisted of the mention of flatspace tech, that it was used to carry big things in small packages, that this was used to transport Querl and Brenda, and the incident Howard had with Zam Tolen, though Howard's name is not mentioned - listed only as 'an informant'.

Well, a name caught his eye, at the very least.

"You think this Zam lady's got something up with all that? I ran into her a couple of days ago, but it didn't feel like anything out of the ordinary..."

"It's the only lead I've got so far. The story I got certainly paints her as suspicious, but it may have just been a coincidence. With nothing else to go on, it merits investigation..." He sighs, scratching his head.

He tapped his chin in thought. "I mean, she was collecting parts to make a couple of things, but it sounded like it was just for Security use. At least, that's what she said."

Okay, you now have Shoutarou's full attention, Jr. "What kind of parts, and what kind of things?"

Jr. gave Shoutarou a shifty glance. Mainly because, you know, he didn't want to cast more shade on somebody if they didn't actually do anything. He answered anyway, and slowly. "Parts from one of the ships in the hangar. She was making uh ... she said a power nullifying restraint."

And now that he said it, it sounded a little odd. But Jr. just told himself that was because of this whole conversation.

The detective's eyes widen after a moment. "...that could be useful for security, yes, but also for what's going on." He keyed in this information, then looked at Jr. "Anything else?"
