Sneakery
Zam Tolen hadn't been seen a whole lot around the ship. She had disappeared during Lirath and generally wasn't the most available though she was still hitting her Security patrols.
It was late at what passed for night on the ship, as she went to several places. Special Weapons was one place, where she was...building something. With no plans or references, just from her head.
The hangar was another place, where she was gutting a spaceship of certain pieces, shoulder deep in starship.
[ooc: She can be found at either place, just specify where she is.]

Special Weapons
It wasn't a completely abnormal site for Lash to be found in Special Weapon, tampering around with some of the equipment or just to look at, and take personal notes for her own weapon building. This was one of those nights, and she was mostly busy with a few sheets of paper taken from her deskwork for Leon, a pencil in her left hand as she redrew some of the designs and was busy modifying them on the fly.

She went back to sketching, but curiosity eventually got the better of her, and she kept looking over her shoulder in what was possibly the least subtle manner possible.

She had no idea what it was supposed to do, but damn, did it look awesome. Yet, she amazingly didn't utter a word even if she had the annoying tendancy to ask a million questions. She just couldn't. Lash hadn't met that many people who could do such skill this flawlessly and perfectly, and she was honestly awed by it all.

"Sorry," she said, stepping a little bit farther away. "I didn't know you could build stuff that cool." She meant it, too. "But I know how it is to have people over your shoulders messing up concentration. I used to shoot people back at home--wait I should be telling that to a security guard. Uh just pretend I didn't say that part."
Quick as a flash, she went back to her doodling, but it was very obvious to see that she was completed distracted by this shining new toy being assembled now.
I wonder what it does?

"That's really neat!" She could only imagine that terrible mayhem she could do with something like that. "I've made a few for fortresses in my world, but they were much, much bigger than those and not as tiny and compact!"

He shot Lash a slight smile and went back to work.
"Anyway, this is one of the only things I worked out how to make."

"Anyway, while I'd like to stay here until that machine of yours is ready and operational, I've gotta go to Zett--Outsider's Hotel." Yes. Excellent save. "But I do wanna see that machine work once it's done sometime!"
[ HANGAR ]
He yawned eventually, leaning back and stretching as he tapped the omnicomm off and stood, unhooking it from his mech. Grabbing hold of a cable he began to lower himself down, and that was when he heard the sound of rummaging and metal nearby. Blinking once, he figured it was just another pilot or a mechanic getting in some late night work. But he was heading in that direction anyway, so Jr. figured he'd stop by briefly to see who it was and what was up.
At least he semi-knew Zam from Security. "Hey," he said with a second stretch of the arms.

"Hey there. How you doin'?"

He took a step toward the spaceship and leaned forward to get a better look at it. "Repairs, or something else?"
no subject
Just making herself useful, Junior, that's all. Nothing to see here.

And dangerous in the wrong hands, but that really applied to anything. He gave Zam a smirk. "'Course, let's hope we don't have to use it too much."

She shrugged at Jr.
"Somethin' to do with my time, if nothin' else, I figure."

He kept his eyes on her and the ship, though when it came to the ship he was just looking to see how many parts had gotten cleaned out for the endeavor so far.
