When the Big Girls Play~! [Visitation Day Plot! Completely Open!]

Ellistree had followed Nokosi and Kaya into hydroponics, and for the first time since arriving on board the Transmigration 9 did she feel at complete ease.

Not that she felt bad being around the odd vessel, but the lack of nature was uncomfortable for sure. The vast variety of flora and fauna in the place was an amazing breath of fresh air, and it was clear that the child of nature was at home in such environments. It almost looked as if her skin took on a beatiful glow as she sauntered off through the place, smiling and dancing amongst the trees, and creatures kept in Hydroponics.

The rather tall elf was trully in a state of bliss, and anyone who approached her might get a sudden hug, or a playful gesture depending on how they approached her. But granted a more hostile approach won't be shyed away from, after all, Ellistree was fiercer than most feral druids, and that was saying a lot. It could be balmed on the blood that coursed trough her veins, making her even more dominant and aggressive than normal.

[[OOC: Open post! Really! Anyone can join in, don't be shy, she won't bite (Much!). You're free to interact with anyone who's in the initial post (Ellistree, Nokosi, Kaya, Billy or Ronnae. "I... we have a place like this on our ship, the Argonaut. I thought it would be worth seeing. However, it doesn't seem to be used for growing food..."

"No, I mean that on the Argonaut, the Hydroponics area is expressly dedicated to providing food supplies. It looks more like a farm than a forest." He paused. "And it's not really as big as this. In fact, this ship is utterly immense. We do have a fairly large fleet, but..."

He nodded. "Unfortunately, there's just not that much room for an area of uncontrolled growth. We have to keep a constant watch on our supplies, as it can be rather long between voyages."

"Flying?" Iolaous blinked. "You can fly?"

Not unheard of; after all, the Tribe of Silver could travel through space without starships. But still a little surprising.

Iolaous looked astonished. "That's quite a talent," he said. "Is your ability natural, or a result of applied technology?"

[identity profile] iolarious.livejournal.com 2011-09-22 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"I see," he said. "In that case, please allow me to demonstrate an ability of mine."

He held out a hand to her expectantly.

Taking her proffered hand firmly, Iolaous concentrated... and in a moment they were on top of a grassy knoll, still in Hydroponics, but a small distance away.

"Unfortunately, my ability isn't as versatile as that of the Princess. But it does serve."

[identity profile] iolarious.livejournal.com 2011-09-22 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
He shook his head. "Hers are different, and varied. Dhianeila-sama can find planets whose starways have been hidden or lost; she is the guiding light of our fleet. And she was one of the first to welcome me here. If you get a chance to meet her, I'm sure you'll see why so many rely upon her."

Boy oh boy did Iolaous idolize the Princess.

[identity profile] iolarious.livejournal.com 2011-09-22 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
...you have no idea how happy he'd be to serve the Princess

He smiled in full agreement. "Yes. I'm sure things would be different if we were in the hands of her brothers, but Dhianeila has always kept us on the path. But what of your leaders? Are they worthy of admiration?"

[identity profile] iolarious.livejournal.com 2011-09-23 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
"I see... in our case, mankind allowed itself to be led by some time by Meleagros and Atalantes of the Yunos royal family." Iolaous's hand curled into a fist involuntarily as he remembered the disaster that that had been.

"They declared war on the Tribe of Silver and promised to return us to our homeworld, but squandered the resources they had in favor of dreams of glory. It was Dhianeila-sama who ended up..." he stopped himself. "I'm sorry; I shouldn't have allowed myself to get carried away. I am glad your world has leaders that you can trust."
