Contact [Bendy timed to 3 or 4 days after Lirath]

In the aftermath of the battle at Lirath, Stacy had been severely damaged. Though she still eventually managed to build up enough power to resume course, she was obviously struggling, her pace far slower than normal. She could barely even manage to directly address those who needed to speak with her, instead allowing the more monotone voice of the Warden to speak up wherever she couldn't.

Several days after the battle, however, she once again stopped course suddenly and without warning, and let out a message throughout the ship.

||Notice to all crew members, Daligig Vessel Horizon is approaching. Archon Yavek is requesting to board so repairs can begin on this vessel. Please report to the Obs deck to recieve Daligig personnel and begin briefing. I repeat, notice to all crew members...||

Those going to the Obs Deck to check out the commotion would see the Horizon just out the observation window. It was massive, nearly half as long as Stacy, and likely had enough room for over a million crew members. The ship was colored a brilliantly bright white, with sleek, smooth lines, making the ships the GIA had that the crew had seen in the battle at Lirath seem like ancient relics.

Not long after the crew had arrived at the Obs Deck, bright, crackling lights began to appear towards the far end of the room as figures began teleporting in.

The first to appear were...not the Daligig. Instead, the first figures to arrive were massive, 9-ft tall reptilian soldiers, each decked in thick armor carrying equally massive battle rifles. At their fore stood one of them wearing lighter armor, carrying a tall metallic staff. He appeared older than the other reptillians, and wore a red sash that seemed to mark him of higher rank than the others. He raised the comm unit on his wrist to speak into it.

"Situation green, Archon. It is safe come over."

At that point, more figures began teleporting over, much smaller than the reptilian soldiers that came before. In fact, they were even somewhat shorter than normal humans, the tallest among them barely six feet tall. These were the Daligig, strange looking and varied in appearance. Each of them had devices on their arms, apparently small but powerful micro computers, each with different colors denoting the rank of the wearer. At their side were numerous tiny beings, each barely 4 feet tall, who almost immediately fanned out, obsessively observing and picking at Stacy's techno-organic structure.

Suddenly, one of the Daligig, wearing a dark blue arm unit, stepped forward with a rather grim, serious expression on his face. This, apparently was Archon Yavek.

"Who is in charge here?" he demanded bluntly.

[ooc: Meant to get this up a week ago, but school got the better of me, so sorry, guys! First thread that I put up will be the main expositionary thread, but feel free to make more threads for you characters to react, talk to each other, or try and talk to the Daligig and their companions. Basic info on the Daligig can be found over here.]

Ildraniath had only caught a portion of the altercation - a glimpse of one of the crew being hurled thorugh the air like a doll. Mentally, she cursed herself for not bothering with armor - why would she have needed it today, of all days? She took a step forward, hands beginning to spark with warp energy. She didn't particularly care for Kerrigan - had never even spoken with her, that she could recall - but she was a member of the crew and the crew? The crew were far sturdier allies than these dalgig and kessek.

Her voice carried over the Observation Deck.

"Release her."

Kerrigan missed Ildraniath's order and the Kessek's retort. She had continued to fight and consequently several of her bones snapped. She screamed in pain and humiliation.

"I do not care for the well-being of your Dalgig," Ildraniath retorted, eyes darting over the row of heavily armored soldiers. If she had her armor and Singing Spear and if she had a squad of Aspect Warrior (or a warlock council or even a squad of Guardians) she would've given herself better odds. As it was - alone, unarmored and unarmed, she doubted she could win. She might be able to kill one. Maybe two or three if she caught enough of them in the blast of warp energy she could unleash. But the rest would undoubtedly cut her down.

"But seeing as several of her bones have just snapped, I think you can safely release her. Or must I retaliate in kind? Considering you are supposed to be guests aboard this vessel and our allies, you are already making a very poor impression."

She didn't make a move to attack. It was mostly a bluff, but she fully intended to unleash a wave of warp energy if this Kessek persisted.

"She isn't going to be walking anywhere for a while," came the rather dry reply, "And I am a Farseer of Ulthwe; I do not answer to you or the Dalgig who hold your leash. The crew will deal with her as they believe necessary, not because you command it."

She lowered her hands, letting the energy drain away. "Now if you're finished, I believe your precious Dalgig have repairs to be undertaking, do you not? I assume you know the way around the ship."

"As I just told your trained brute, I am a Farseer of Ulthwe; I do not answer to you," Ildraniath looked down at Yavek with a rather cold expression, "Meddle with me at your own peril."

I'll kill you. I'll kill you. I'll kill you. She could not think clearly enough to come up with how, all she knew was that she would.

Kerrigan flexed her legs, fully intending to stand in spite of her broken bones but her body would not allow her.

Sam wasn't surprised that trouble had broken out, but he made sure that everything in Medbay was up to snuff, in case there were inspections involved in this visit. So when the message came, he told Howard to meet him there, and went to Obs as soon as he could.

And by as fast as he could, that was only a second or two after telling Howard to meet him there. Superhuman speed has its advantages. Only those with vision more acute than the average human would have seen him coming, but others only saw him suddenly appear at the outside edge of the group wearing a medkit. "Nonono, hold still. You're in no condition to be getting up," he told Kerrigan as he crouched down beside her. "Just hang tight for a minute."

He glanced up at the Daligig and the other new arrivals briefly. They all smelled new and strange, but that was hardly unusual on this ship. He gave them a nod as a greeting before turning back to his work.

Howard, on the other hand, takes a few minutes to get up to Obs deck even having sprinted - not only is he human, but he's also bringing the stretcher. He rushes to Sam's side, unslinging his med kit. He doesn't waste time, but he does glance in curiosity and fear at the visitors. He hasn't trusted them from the start, even if they did inadvertently give him a way out of his awful homeworld.

And joy, Fractures McBrokenbone is trying to stand up. Awesome. He loves patients that do even more damage to themselves through sheer stubbornness. She's just going to be a peach, isn't she?

"Should we get her on the stretcher first?" he asks, crouching down next to Sam, and then whispers. "Did they do this to her?"

Ildraniath is still hovering, gaze icy - although most of her ire seems directed in the Dalgig's direction. She doesn't bother to lower her voice, "They claim she attacked them and that they had no choice but to subdue her like this. I only saw her hurled across the room."

Kerrigan hissed. Since her legs weren't responding she tried her arms but that only resulted in a crunching sound accompanied by more pain. She yelled.

The pain faded enough for her to speak.

"I will not lie here. They used me. Experimented-" She had said the last word too forcefully. Her lungs had pressed up against her broken ribs and she was incoherent once more. It only made her more furious.

Sam put a hand on her shoulder, somewhere she wasn't injured. He used a bit more strength than one would expect someone his size to have. "Stop," he insisted. "This battle's over. We'll discuss who did what later."

"Stabilize the fractures first. We'll set them back in Medbay," he told Howard. He pulled some various straps and cushions designed for just this kind of purpose from the stretcher, and set to work on her arms.

Somehow, Howard isn't the least bit surprised when Ildy confirms that the Daligig were indeed the ones dealing the damage.

"Should we sedate her?" Howard asks, pulling braces and tape out of his kit to splint her legs. He doesn't really want to be applying pressure to someone who might react violently to being restrained. "How many broken bones you counting, Sampire?"

If they were waiting for Kerrigan to see reason, it didn't look like it would happen any time soon. She still struggled despite her broken ribs, legs, and arms.

"Let me go!"
